Exactly, the way I see it, I'm glad they went for something new, and unique looking. The existence of this car doesn't stop the s550 from existing for those who would rather have that car. When the s650 releases, people who want one will have their dreams fulfilled, and people who want a used...
Plus you're one of the only people on this site to actually see this car in person thus far. So your opinion carries greater weight than most as far as I'm concerned.
The existence of the bronco, bronco sport, maverick, and yes, mustang, indicates that quite a few people on ford's product development team know what they're doing. Are there some clueless ones? Maybe a handful, but most of them are smart, talented individuals.
To be fair, silver is the best of the neutral colors, white, black, grey etc. White is too basic, black is agressive, but hides the lines. Silver has more character, and does a better job at showing off the actual design, highlights/shadows that sort of thing.
It's freaking absurd is what it is. My parents have a 2017 explorer, that's the generation of explorer where everyone says ford copied range Rover. But the range Rover design that looks like the explorer was released like 1 1/2 to 2 years after the explorer. So people accused ford of ripping off...
Bro, ford wouldn't sabotage one of their most iconic cars in order to intentionally hurt sales to justify discontinuing it. That would make no sense. It's far more likely that people are just having a hard time adjusting because it's so different.
So Vapor blue is basically just Azure Grey which is basically just Area 51. What the hell is going on here. Why does ford have three virtually identical shades all called three different names. That sounds overly complex. Vapor blue looks like area 51 with metallic flake and that's about it.
I personally like the gt front end the most. It looks like a collection of the s550's greatest hits redone in a new way. The headlights thankfully resemble the 15-17 rather than the refreshed headlights. The black contrast under the grille looks like a more restrained and attractive take on what...
This color looks very similar to area 51 imo. Area 51 pops in person but looks meh in a 2D format. There's a chance it's the same thing here. Case in point, this pic I took, in person, the color was much more vibrant, the entire body was basically the same color as what you see with the bed. But...
I'll be honest, yellow just isn't my cup of tea. It looks cool on the focus st kinda, my professor has a cool yellow mk5 supra, and some lambos look cool in yellow. But that's where it ends imo.
Sounds like someone with bad aim missing the toilet bowl.
The issues is as an aspiring designer, I don't see a single s650 cue that looks like the mach-e. The only part that gets close is the more sharply angled taillights. Even then, they're nothing alike.
But I agree, I feel as though this sketch is either teasing a potential high performance model, kinda like how some of the gt350 design cues were shown in the original 2015 sketches. Or it could be a good direction for a facelift. If the rear looked like this, it would basically be perfect.
But that's completely missing the point of what I'm saying. I'm not saying the mach-e is a replacement for the traditional coupe. All I'm saying is the "It looks like a mach-e" argument makes no sense when the mach-e looks like a mustang. It's attacking a mustang design for looking like a...
