The trouble with pushing S650 back any further is S550 sales would fall even further as it's getting very long in the tooth. We expected a second S550 refresh for the '21MY but it didn't happen. Ford expected the facelift car to run for 5 model years ('18 to '22). Extending that to 2024...

So does S650........but only insiders have seen it ;) I know Ford are clamping down hard on supplier leaks, but I bet that's how we get our first glimpse......whether it be the whole car, or just parts of it.

First year of an all-new model would see good sales, so I'd expect Ford to prioritize S650 when it's time comes. But, who knows.....Covid.....chips shortage.......these things come in threes lol

I'd hope Ford can move S650 closer to the driving dynamics of the 6th Gen Camaro. The chassis balance of the Mach 1 seems to be getting good reviews in as much as it seems to be the best S550 yet, so I'm confident S650's dynamics will be an improvement over the current car. Of course, less mass...

I don't think we'll see the DCT in anything other than an SE S650. That being said, I do hope the 10-speed gets the updates that Mach 1 received to the torque converter and shift programming as reviews indicate the upgrades have made it an even better transmission. But it still needs better...

I hope they don't stray too far from the current interior look. It needs to keep that classic Mustang "double brow" dash. Just lose the tiny 4" center screen......make the 8" the base and 10 or 12" for the Premium. Just increase the quality of the leather/plastics/switches and have the next-gen...
