Agreed.......which is why I think I like the latest orange render so much. To me, its very similar, although I prefer the Evo/Mondeo inspired headlamps on the orange one.......but I'll take the lower and side intakes from the silver one :)
Yeah, ironically I guess S650 was designed before the Mach E.............it was meant to be here over 2 years ago.
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait......
I'm also sure someone stated it would have a side vent, too (whether that's just the GT or both GT and Ecoboost who knows). But that red render definitely appears to have a small side vent behind the front wheel.
Could be................could be! You've got a good eye, Ace :)
I know it's only a render and the proportions will change for production, but the first car that comes to mind when I see that red one is the Aston Vantage. The Aston is only a 2 seater, which is what that red render looks like...
Note the side sill treatment on the red render............similar to the one used on the orange one. I do wonder if the guy that created the orange one has some insider knowledge. It wouldn't be the first time CAD files have leaked.......
Must admit, I'd never heard of the page that did the renders, but I searched them out and they do some great stuff. Time will tell how close this one is though :)
Actually, it's a pony car :giggle:
Whilst I love the look of the S550, for me it lost the muscle car look (if not the muscle car attitude) that the S197 had. As we know, pretty much for sure, S650 won't revert to a retro muscle car look. Many (far too many) keyboard warriors thought the S550...
Not too sure on the "small & flat" comment. The main body doesn't appear any different to S550. But that front end definitely looks like a great interpretation of the sculpture to my eyes.
Would be interested to hear the thoughts of @amk91 & @Jem
I actually really like that! :sunglasses:
The fact that its a Photoshop of an S550 taken at Santa Pod (one of only 2 drag strips in the UK) helps :like:
Nah, entire dashboards that are a screen? Not for me. I'll take an updated version of the current cars as aesthetically at least, I think it looks great.
I do wonder if Ford were warming us up to a vertical screen when they showed the Lithium S550 electric concept at SEMA a few years back. As...
No doubt S650 will pull parts from the current parts bin.........its just a question of which ones.
I don't mind the large vertical screen as long as it's well integrated into the dash/console. I can see the auto having the rotary shifter from the GT500, but I prefer the existing one, or the...
Looking back at previous styling proposals is definitely worth it though. This was another early S550 proposal..........those tail lights with the concave look eventually made it to the '18+, so some elements of early proposals still stand a chance :)
Yeah, the image was released as part of the official images from the Mach E launch. But it looked nothing like the Mach E was was clearly a 2 door coupe. Weird, as every other image was obviously Mach E based
Whilst an April "birthday" reveal would be cool, I still think that's too soon. As @amk91 (where are you!?) has stated previously, Ford tends to not reveal cars less that 6 months prior to start of production. If that March 2023 Job 1 is accurate, that'd be a Sept/Oct reveal. I don't think...
This has been discussed in several of the other threads. There's a good chance some of the styling details will appear on S650 but until the camo drop a little more, we can only guess :)
