I must admit, I'm a sucker for the retro look........and would love an "updated S197".......but it 'aint gonna happen.
I'm sure S650 will be good looking though......when we finally get to see it undressed :)
What do you mean they are designing the 2025?
I suspect they are working on, or probably even finished designing, the S650 facelift for the 26/27MY, if that's what you mean.
Good point......most of the '22s I've seen have been at Michigan (or close by) dealers........so dealers further afield will take longer to get their cars :)
1.5 to 2 years?
S650 production is scheduled to start no later than March 2023, so that's on 14 months away. The first cars will be delivered a few weeks later.
Yeah, the black "bonus" S197 did make me smile :)
Wonder how long we have to wait for the next spy shots! The weird thing is I'm not anxiously waiting for them like I was for the first ones. I think I just needed visual confirmation S650 was definitely coming. We've got that now. I guess it...
Stangmode repeated again in his latest video that the S650 will get the Mach 1's Tremec.........but I've not heard this anywhere else.
I wouldn't be surprised though.
Be nice if the 10-speed also got the revised tuning from the Mach 1, too.
This is a good question, which we've asked before but not really got a reliable answer yet.
However, a couple of sources are stating Ford couldn't produce a '22MY in calendar year 2023.
So, the two options as I see them:
1 - '22MY runs from Jan 2022 to December 2022. '23MY is skipped and...
With it seeming likely that S650 will launch as a '24MY, I wondering if Ford will want to launch it as a 60th Anniversary celebration.
Of course, the first Mustangs were built in April of '64, but were all '65 VINs. The "64 1/2" were only given this identifier as there were significant...
I'm still overthinking this
If.......IF the original spy shots at the test track were genuine and not an "official Ford leak"......then this camo'd S550 could be being used to divert attention away from the track where the real work is still being undertaken. Still seems odd though!
