I too am dumfounded at Ford's insistance on under-tiring the Mustang, both EB and GT. The PP1 wheels are so preposterously heavy it's a sick joke. Chevy Camaro 1LE rims are "forged" but aren't exactly light. So I'm not so sure about them being really comporting with that manufacturing process...
pretty sure there is no evidence in support of #1 and when the GT/PP is equipped with Magneride it will unfortunately probably NOT have the M1/GT350R dampers, but rather the old GT350/EB/GT version.
har har
if dealer lot mix is anything to go by (weak and slim, and highly regional I realize) 6MT was about half of GT and about 1/4 or 1/5th on EB. I'd like to see actual production mix but I don't believe we have official numbers on that count.
did '16/17 values "crash" after the '18 was introduced, though? I would counter it's more likely traditional handbrake and traditional gauges will be broadly more popular/desirable than the slap-dash tablet. And killing off the 6MT for the Eco is definitely going to help 18+ eco 6MT values.
why wouldn't they have a 2nd assembly line elsewhere?
On second thought, maybe GE2.2 is so designated because they tweaked GE2.1 to use current S550/650 hard-points. So the retooling is basically zilch.
Hmm I should have picked up on the RX7 lines... Yeah Mazda is the only Jap maker where "fun to drive" is the core ethos. Ford would do well to get a fresh injection.
but then they'd have to change the molds to add 0.5-0.75 inch more lip to the creased section. Or recontour it so it doesn't look silly and out of proportion. Since when are they going to splash out when they can just recycle the S550 dies.
If you lower, the half-moon looks all kinds of wrong...
which bolsters my contention that a certain philosophy that caused a bit of chaos a while back, is really just a small twist of the cultural norms of the population. Same could be said of a certain island nation in the Pacific.
I believe they perfected that 75 years ago with the classic "papers please". or more correctly " Ihre Papiere bitte " with machine-gun at the ready. Hey, it's timeless.
