OK, this is getting quite esoteric. And, it's Monday and I didn't have a good nights sleep.
Are you saying something like, a supercharger uses power from the engine to make more power?
I'm not sure where the cut off lies, but above a certain percentage ethanol the A/F leans out and ceases to make increase power.
I wonder if that's why E10 is normally the highest recommended?
The drop in power after 5252rpm is dependant on torque curve though. Both my VW EA888 engines had a flat torque "curve" to 6000 rpm. If you extend that torque figure to 7k or 8k you'll continue to make more power.
I use Spotify premium with best quality streaming and downloads. Sometimes Youtube Premium too, same settings.
I can't tell any difference between them.
The DSG box is a wonderful thing, it can be a little jeky in stop/start traffic, but using one on a twisty road is magic.
But, the absolute best trans is a bike box, dog clutch gears, no synchro, with clutchless up and down shifting.
I use both.
When I was an apprentice my boss would go ballistic if we used the handbrake on the workshop hack. He said it caused the cables to stretch and he'd have to replace them.
He was as tight as a fish's butt. But still a good guy.
There was a comment on the savagegeese vid of the GTD about the precision of the shifts in auto track mode. It was claimed it shifts when and where an expert driver would.
That remains to be seen, but it would be a great trick.
