nevermind, i just fixed it. i restored my IPC with FORScan and it worked. i then added back the stuff i liked and it works fine. not sure what happened tbh
be careful and dont overdo it. remember what happened to the S550 Super Snake convertibles, and IIRC they only had 15 more horsepower than what the Stage 1 Whipple/Ford Performance kit gives you. the twist of the chassis from the power due to the lack of the bracing from the solid roof caused...
i got that update today too. it added a shift tone for the performance shift indicator (same tone as the 2018+), changed the brightness adjustment screen to the Job 2 one, and maybe added a feature where going across a border into a country that uses a different speed metric brings up a pop-up...
no, the PCM thing isnt in the PCM itself, it's in one of the sidebar menus. click the wrench icon to go to service procedures and it should be in there
the mirror tilt down does not work properly on US model mirrors, and autofolding mirrors require you to do a total overseas mirror conversion, which is not easy or cheap. as for the shift indicator, you need to enable it in the IPC as well as the APIM
here it is in the APIM
and here in the IPC...
no more going to your local vinyl shop to get an imperfect recreation of the factory stripes, or piecing out the kit and finding part numbers and all. Ford Accessories now has the factory stripe options up for sale, at $460 for the stripes on their own, which is $15 cheaper than getting them...
i am not a driveshaft expert, but using carbon fiber for a driveshaft sounds like a not fantastic idea. the resin will probably degrade with age and heat cycles, with that being even quicker if you really demand a lot from the car often. aluminum driveshafts are already hollow, so you arent even...
i just went down to the Pavilions for Rock n Roll Car Show, and it turns out there is new management. from what i heard, the De Rito Partners Development, who hosts the show, decided to ditch the old guys running it and put in their place the company Arizona Events Group. talking with the old...
there is this feature built into the vehicle, complete with Mustang-specific animations. unfortunately, you need to enable it in FORScan, press one of the mirror adjustment buttons for it to work, and i dont think it was made for the US mirror sizes because is also tries to adjust the mirror...
someone i know who has an auto US Dark Horse did his own test and found that, in fact, it is electronically limited to 160mph and wont go past that no matter the gear you are in, even when using paddle shifters. looking it up, it seems like the advertised top speed is really 166mph not 168...
this idea also works for any Ford vehicle that has a version of sun visors with mirror lighting but without homelink, and a version with sun visor mirror lighting with homelink. the accessories guy at my work recently retrofitted a 2023 Escape with homelink using this same method
