  1. Didn't know where to post this.

But it tickled my funny bone, had to share. There was a guy who was a huge tractor enthusiast. He collected them, posters on his walls, went to tractor shows and competitions, went for rides whenever he could. Then one day he fell off one, broke his leg and never got on a tractor again. Some...
  2. Hold Steering Wheel warning when not using cruise control or lane centering

Just be careful of that power. I guess you've heard about Wonder Woman and the Invisible Man were having sex when Batman flew over and the rest is just too graphic.
  3. Odd things I have noticed

I can see situations where a loud seat fan would be a plus. Especially an extractor fan.
  4. Odd things I have noticed

Here's a Duh moment. The manual for my wife's car said it had auto high beams. I couldn't get them to work. In the settings the enable button was greyed out. I called the dealer salesman who didn't know, he put me onto a Tech who didn't know either. I suggested that he goes to a car in stock and...
  5. Hold Steering Wheel warning when not using cruise control or lane centering

Here's a question, should you indicate when there's no one to indicate your intentions to? And, why? OK, two questions.
  6. Would You RTR a 60th Anniversary Mustang? Curious What Owners Think

I'm betting on the last pure ICE V8 Mustang to be a collectors item. If there's anyone who values tradition, history and fun left by then.
  7. VW Golf GTI, Golf R

Maybe not on a twisty road and a skilled steerer though.
  8. Hold Steering Wheel warning when not using cruise control or lane centering

Correct. I learned this very quickly and it's part of my pre flight now too.
  9. Finally done: Yuwei YW04319 parking cam front facing installed

Strange thing happened last night. I got a Fordpass notification that Bonnie had gone into deep sleep. Typical woman. But I don't know why. I had turned the ign on a few times during the install, but not for long. And the drivers door was open for 2 1/2 hours. Surely not much of a drain there...
  10. Odd things I have noticed

Not my experience. I can't even hear the seat fans.
  11. Slippery Mode-very impressed with how much it changes things

Hopefully, if you need slippery mode you won't be hammering it. Trans will probably last longer.
  12. Finally done: Yuwei YW04319 parking cam front facing installed

That large conduit covered cable going tthrough the plug is for the sensors. There's plenty of room to get multiple cables through.
  13. Slippery Mode-very impressed with how much it changes things

With quite a few Euro cars automatically activating hazards when braking hard, that could be a surprise for the drivers. Getting pinged for braking hard. 😬 I was surprised on my first visit to Italy, and seeing drivers hitting the hazards if they have to slow quickly for any reason. Great idea.
  14. Finally done: Yuwei YW04319 parking cam front facing installed

I've just finished fitting a Yuwei YW04319 parking cam front facing. I won't go into full detail as the instructions are pretty clear. Finding a place for the display was a bit of a problem as my detector is mounted where the display would be best. But I had a mount for my phone just below the...
  15. Hard water stains on windshield

No, sorry, didn't mean that. They wouldn't do it on a new car. But I believe it is possible.
  16. Bathurst 1000 Supercars

I used to love the BMW M3 v Sierra Cosworth battles in the late '80's. Horsepower versus handling and better fuel economy. There were some close finishes in those days.
  17. Hard water stains on windshield

I had severe water spotting after my dealer clay barred the windscreen and left contaminated water on the car and parked it in the sun. So the Duraseal dealer that supplied the ceramic coating came out with their waterspot remover and it worked like magic. He said you can use it on glass but you...
  18. Cut my hand on active valve exhaust tips.

    Great, I don't mind matte anyway.👍
