Get a rear view parking cam and install on the front. I just did it and it works fine.
Wireless units are easiest, but more expensive. I fitted a wired unit and it was simpl enough to do.

I think the reason is that the old time engines were low stressed; low revs, low power, low compression etc.
I remember my Dads Holden running it's conrod bearings. The fix was simple, crank grind, new shells, new rings for luck, and off it went.
These days of high specific outputs and revs...
I wouldn't buy a significantly modded car, like more than just new wheels or maybe a brake upgrade, the reason being; I don't know who did it and/or I don't know if they knew what they were doing.
I like Sarah N Tuned, massive OCD, but it's great when applied to car fiddling. I also like her double entendres.
