Two in the trunk, maybe four on the back seat? One strapped onto the roof, one on the trunk lid?
Jokes aside, I can't believe how much crap you can squeeze into these things.
Nailed it.
I have to say though, I had a GT86, the 2 litre early version. Nothing but a bike could stay with it through the ranges at our last town, but it was quite gutless for things like overtaking.
I do really appreciate the extra 286hp in the Ford.
You haven't comprehended what I wrote.
Yaw or rotation is prior to actual loss of traction or sliding. It's an increase in slip angle at the rear tyres, it's not loss of traction.
I've driven a lot on cross ply tyres, they slide even with the low power outputs of 50's and 60's cars. It's not a...
Maybe when you're young. People do stupid shit, hence my two ex wives.
But being older and marginally less stupid ,I knew exactly what I was getting into with the Mustang.
And when they throw my casket in the boot and do a burnout in front of the crematorium (kind of a preview) everyone will...
China. My neighbour just bought a Cherry crossover, same class as my wife's car with 1.5 turbo, very nice interior, build quality looked OK, OZ Wheels magazine import of the year.
Our Skoda is now $NZ54000, he paid $NZ27000 with 7 years warranty.
How many people would look at that difference and...
1720- 1750kgs is not that heavy, about the same as an M2 which is physically smaller.
They could build it out of unobtanium, save 200kgs and most of us couldn't afford it.
It's power to weight ratio is pretty damn good, and people want all the mod cons in their cars now.
I certainly do
That's the bit I like, that's rotation/yaw. A feel that the rear is close to sliding but not quite. And then, unwinding lock as you power on for the exit.
Bliss!
God bless RWD
I have done track days on cars and bikes. Lots of fast car and bike road driving on some of the more challenging roads you'll find anywhere and something very few people get to do, very fast and legal driving amongst normal traffic, as in up to double the limit or more.
I'm no expert, but I...
I was going to say earplugs. But I'll sympathise instead.
I hate rattles too. It's just a process of elimination. Best with two people, try and locate the rattle, put pressure on likely fittings to see if it stops, then use cushioning, double sided tape, whatever to stop it.
I also cable tie...
Not getting at you, but I disagree here too.
Having the rear actually slide on corner exit limits your drive onto the straight, The tyres have exceeded their traction limit and won't take further throttle input.
What is needed on corner entry is rotation or rear yaw to accelerate the turning...
Countersteering is the way to control oversteer. It's what's taught in advanced driver training and, it's what I've done since I first got cars going sideways in the 60's. It works.
I'd agree braking is not what you do, nor is accelerating.
What do you suggest for oversteer corection?
