  1. How many times can oil drain plug be reused?

An exception for me was the stupid Dzus style plug on VW EA888 engines. I always used a new one, and used the factory tool and never had it leak. Dealers, it seemed weren't so careful
  2. Warranty

The manufacturer can try to refute claims, but proof is needed actual, factual, tested proof. Eg, Company - the diff failed because you added 50 hp. Claimant - What's the rated maximum input torque of that diff?
  3. Has anyone for a stone stock/off the showroom floor S650 into the 11’s?

How was that measured, app? Which one?
  4. How many times can oil drain plug be reused?

"They" say to replace the plug every time. But I have to confess I haven't, but I do use thread sealer or loctite blue on the threads. Never lost a plug or had a leak. I do always torque the plug.
  5. Drag Race: S650 vs. All Other Mustang Generations

They specialise in them, and "tuned" cars. Amazing how many "1000hp" cars are slower than stock.
  6. Grille Damage from Factory?

Sure, a trick of the light in exactly the same place as the damage. Tell them to not pee on your leg and tell you it's raining.
  7. CEO Jim Farley: They'll have to rip the Mustang's stick shift 'out of our cold, dead hands'

Lucky. Our cities are quite clogged with traffic for a small country. Bad town planning
  8. CEO Jim Farley: They'll have to rip the Mustang's stick shift 'out of our cold, dead hands'

Until you're in slow nose to tail traffic. I'd need both. Make that 3, I want the DCT as well. I played with track mode again a few days ago. that is very clever. It shifts when I would shift a manual, but has better ratio spacing. Probably an 8 spd auto and 7 spd manual would suit both camps.
  9. To stripe or not to stripe...?

Like the RTR stripes, like plain, don't like the wide white so much.
  10. This is getting silly... never thought I was buying an economy car

Advisory only, not an actual limit. And generally way under what's is sensible and safe.
  11. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

If you look into the abyss, the abyss looks into you. OK, I'm getting silly now.
  12. Track Apps Speed Times

If you want crowd sourced traffic apps for cams, cops etc, JBV1 is a good choice. It's a V1 Gen2 control app, but has a stand alone mode that gives you VVaze functionality but is a lot more customisable. Range of alerts, reminders of tracking alerts for historic contacts etc. I use it when...
  13. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

If you ignore history, you are doomed to repeat it.
  14. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I'd doubt it. But many who know the history think it was the start of the whole cluster F.... over there.
  15. Clutch warranty

I haven't done a clutch in years, but even with old English cars about 30,000 miles was normal. Apart from deaf old ladies who revved the nuts off it until they could hear it, then slipped the clutch for 100 metres. 60's Ferraris were notorious for cooking clutches with a couple of hard starts...
  16. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

So our media have gone batshit crazy, as usual. People are selling ICE cars and buying EV's. They're bring back carless days. The cheaper gas stations are selling out. (This one is true) You'd have to have an insufficiency of brain cells to sell your ICE car, buy an overpriced EV, install a...
  17. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Not as smug as I feel when I tickle the gas. OK, it costs $5 a tickle, but who cares?
  18. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

    The Balfour Declaration would do.
  19. Connected Services Trial Expiring

Actually this is correct. I did not lose the mapping, just the extras.
