At least you won't be seeing a Mustang at every set of lights.
  2. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

No mate. bloody Kiwi with a big dash of Italian I am.
  3. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

You've got 6 years on us. My wife has loved Mustangs since she did a road trip to the south of England when she lived there. There was no hesitation when I asked her "how would you like a new Mustang":like:
  4. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

We get US spec. Woo bloody Hoo:party:
  5. Power for vent mounted boost gauge

I prefer to take power from an unused fuse holder if possible. Failing that, a fuse piggyback from a minor circuit.
  6. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

Welcome from Down Under (NZ). I can relate to everything you've said. I didn't have much choice either, but the car I got was pretty much how I would have specced one. You're going to love it, especially when summer arrives.
  7. Dark Horse cam install?

I love a bit of blower whine. The GTD is about perfect for my taste. I can't stand the sound of those big Roots blowers many Hot Rods seem to have. And, I wouldn't bother tuning an good N/A engine these days. The factories seem very good at getting reasonable power with reliability
  8. Dark Horse vs 'Hurricane' Charger vs Hellcat - ThrottleHouse

Great idea, let's compare an apple with an orange and a chilli. Why didn't they throw a truck in the mix too? The DH makes excellent use of it's 500hp, and looks a million bucks better. I'm not biased at all.
  9. 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse - Thoughts?

    Undrivable on our roads.
  10. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

A given amount of horse power requires an appropriate amount air and fuel. My 300hp turbo four got down to 16 litres per 100kms with enthusiastic driving, only a little different to the Mustang in similar conditions. Cruising at legal speeds is another matter though, much better than the Ford
  11. FORD: One of the worst

A boat is a hole in the water you pour money into. Not sure about aircraft. A hole in the sky?
  12. Valentine One Radar Detectors

Us V1 fanboys are dreading the idea of Mrs V selling to an outfit like Uniden or Escort. But they are still actively refining and updating the units. Up till recently Photo radar detection has been the holy grail, they appear to have mostly cracked it. If there's any rumours of a sale, I'll...
  13. Gross rotors (rust)!

Ok, it must be a different recipe then. Did you ride in the 70's? Hondas and Suzukis? Bloody patrol bikes just wouldn't stop, great for constipation.
  14. Valentine One Radar Detectors

I used to be on the radar detector forum until they became the Uniden radar detector forum. There was an unusually high level of aggression towards Valentine and V1 users for some reason. I think it dated back to the Cincinnatte Microwave days. But, everything I learned from the radar obsessives...
  15. Gross rotors (rust)!

In the 70's Jap bikes in particular had stainless steel rotors, so they'd not rust and look nice. Trouble is, the brakes didn't work when wet. I chose rust.
  16. Valentine One Radar Detectors

They are having staffing issues, can't find good enough people. They are aware of the problem though, they had a few retirements recently. Mike's death did cause some upheaval as well. Early in the week has a better chance of them answering Have you tried emailing them?
  17. Gross rotors (rust)!

    Don't oil them.
  18. FORD: One of the worst

Every time I do a road trip, I love this thing more and more. You don't even have to be giving it the beans, just cruising along, listening to that V8 just loping along, letting you know that it'll turn feral whenever you want. Iaccoca must have implanted his genes in it, it's almost Italian.
  19. FORD: One of the worst

Is that the model with the heated rear screen? To keep your hands warm when pushing it.
