Admittedly, I haven't read the whole thread. However, the first Ford Mustang Turbo was was in 1979. It was a blow thru (no intercooler) with a 2 barrel carb and about 8 pounds of boost. You could make the hood scoop into a real fresh air intake, up the boost by changing the mechanical linkage...
I wonder how many people here remember Chrysler's Sure-Brake system? I think it was the first to offer four wheel antilock, albeit Ford was first with their rear-brake only system offered on the Continental III. I don't remember if you could switch either system off or not, but at one time or...
Do not get me restarted about this issue! In short, if you own it, drive it!
Incidentally, a previous poster in this thread referred to his Mustang as a 'him'. I've never really thought about whether a car was a him or her. If I was a DEI follower, perhaps I'd refer to it as exactly that—IT...
Nothing like arrest me red! I've owned several red cars in my life, and I do like the color red, save for some of the maroon shades. The last car I owned was bright red, but my new Eco-Boost is white. When you live were summer temps are over 100°, even red is too hot for me.
There is one issue about the 10-2 hold no one talks about. If you have your hands on the steering wheel's 10-2 position, and the airbag explodes, you're going to break your wrists arms or both, or at least wished you did!
If you're cleaver, you can actually use at least the first 5 gears getting them to shift when you want them to. It requires a lot of switching between L, D, and N, but it can be done. But why?
Does no-one here remember the model T? Any color you wanted as long as it was black!
There is a cost issue here too. Old Henry did the black thing because it was cheap thus lowering the price. Imagine offering all those colors listed above? It amazes me seeing all the colors Ford already...
We've allowed ourselves to be taken over by too many assists. For example, these days you can't buy any new vehicle without air, power brakes, and power steering. Nonetheless imagine yourself sitting in a 1950 Ford with its power nothing (not even under the hood!), sitting on its only available...
This is sort of off the topic...
I can't say what the numbers are or even if there is a correlation, but the number of race tracks (drag, road, and oval) have diminished (≈ in half) over the last 20 years or so. This is also the case for shooting parks (skeet, trap, and rifle) within the same...
The ability to provide traction between tires and pavement is not a cut and dry scenario. I can think of a myriad of conditions which affect it. I can also imagine the complexity of providing a traction control algorithm which suits every condition and I'm not so sure there is one. This goes...
Personal opinion: Over the last decade or so, Ford's chosen yellowish—orangish—brownish colors remind me of the contents of a diaper. Worse, they're not alone!

The unfortunate part Zig, there is almost no hot rodder is left who can read them! Yes, if they're oily, charred, ground missing etc., then yes. But color? No way
I wonder about a few other things. Gasoline, no matter the mix or octane, is a compound with many ingredients. While those ingredients vary, the difference between brands is almost moot. This said, the ingredients in E85 are different than those used for E10, especially those used as anti...
Sort of a side light...
I have several of their V1P dash cams with the add-on rear camera. They come with a weed-lighter power cable, but you can buy an accessory cable which wires into the mini fuse slots. Within this cable is a regulator which converts the 12 to 5 volts.
I sent an email to...
