  1. 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 intro & drive by Misha Charoudin

I hope he gets the issues with fuel and brakes sorted so we can get a video where he pushes the Mustang. He was driving gingerly in that Nurburgring video. I also hate it that they changed the track so we do not get that long top speed run at the end. That was always a fun part of the older...
  2. 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 intro & drive by Misha Charoudin

Yeah, different figures. RTR, according to its web site, sells the car with 870 (flywheel). RTR is, of course, simply passing on what Whipple advertises their Stage 2 kit to deliver. Stage 2 is a 3.75" pulley. That delivers 12 psi. But 870 horsepower, if that is truly what the Whipple...
  3. dark horse 19x9.5 Front, 19x10 max tire size?

The wheels are not only going to have different widths but different offsets due to the different track width of the front and rear of the car. Here: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/dark-horse-wheel-specs.164299/
  4. unique tuning?

I think the key may be here:
  5. 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 intro & drive by Misha Charoudin

I think Misha would have mentioned that were they using it. Instead, he clearly said they "detuned" the Mustang to 650 horsepower, see around 25 minutes 15 seconds in the YouTube video. Hopefully @RTR Vehicles knows what they did and will chime in with more information.

"The largest that would fit would be the 4.0, however, we would recommend the oversized heat exchanger to help with temps as well." Straight from Whipple. So this would still be 10 psi and a lot more than 650 horsepower, at least at the engine (and Misha was not clear about whether this was...
  7. Has Anybody Run a Larger Pulley?

Swift answer straight from Whipple: "The largest that would fit would be the 4.0, however, we would recommend the oversized heat exchanger to help with temps as well." This is specific to the Gen 6 3.0 Whipple, information I included in my question.
  8. Has Anybody Run a Larger Pulley?

@LethalPerformance posted in the 6g forum that a 4" would fit. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/whipple-winter-mode-largest-pulley.92272/ See post #9. Maybe that is why the chart in the manual starts at 4" instead of 4.25 or 4.5. That only gets the boost down one psi to 10 psi...

  10. 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 intro & drive by Misha Charoudin

@RTR Vehicles - How did they "detune" the vehicle down to 650 horsepower? (see 25:15 time stamp, where Misha mentions this) Another forum member posted some pictures of a 3.75" pulley up against the Whipple supercharger and implied strongly that a larger pulley (4", 4.25", or 4.5") probably...
  11. Has Anybody Run a Larger Pulley?

Ugh. I was not aware of these clearance issues. 🤔

Sorry to be a pest, but no signs of rubbing, inside or outside of tires?
  13. Has Anybody Run a Larger Pulley?

The Whipple Stage 1 pulley is 3.875" - has anybody run a larger pulley, e.g., 4", 4.25", or 4.5" Whipple's install manual has a chart showing that going from 3.875" to 4" drops the boost from 11 psi to 10 psi. I am guessing maybe we could get it down to 8 with the 4.25 and maybe 6 with the...

Thank you- What size are the cup 2 tires, and are they the same front and rear (square set up)? What camber settings, and do they ever show any signs of rubbing?

  16. 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 intro & drive by Misha Charoudin

So it looks like Whipple makes the pulleys in all sorts of different sizes. Stage 1 kit is 3.875" and folks looking to crank up the boost have been using 3.5", but they make 4" and even larger. Like this one: 4.5"...
