Any thoughts on going back to the track with a supercharged Dark Horse and maybe a slightly more expensive tire, rather than the cheap "drifter" option?
They have the video set on the dashboard, and oil stayed below 195° even during the long full throttle runs as they set a new production car track record.
How long did the Trofeo RS tires last you? What tires are you running now?
What is your camber setting going to be now that you installed the Vorshlag caster camber plates and drilled out the towers?
I was looking at C7 vettes, and my wife was insisting I needed a back seat (and she was correct). It is still a running joke with her that the Dark Horse has a back seat. I am 6 feet tall, and the front seat is all the way back against the back seat when I am driving.
Does not happen in my A10.
So this must be a manual only thing.
Do the new tunes tune this out? Is it necessary for some reason with a clutch to keep the driveline from breaking?
So you installed headers without cats, and then three inch pipes from the collectors to a Jones maxflow dual 3" muffler serving as a resonator
Then you have 2.5" pipes from the Jones maxflow dual 3" muffler to the factory 2.5" system and left the rest behind that alone.
Is that all correct...
So Google says it is 3" pipe.
What I am gathering from your post is that it gets reduced to 2.25" somewhere around the resonator?
M6G (this site for the S550) says the S550 is 2.75" with a half inch neck down to 2.25" at the "muffler bottle neck"...
Ok, I am not following. I guess I do not know enough about the exhaust system (my car is too low to crawl under there and look), and you wrote that you "added a larger 3" muffler."
Is this an additional muffler, so now you have the resonator, a muffler, and the stock mufflers?
Sport and Track are definitely different at times when just driving, and Track leaves those valves open constantly, which becomes annoyingly loud. Sport does not do that.
There is a huge difference when driving slowly up my driveway between track and quiet, because I use those two as a demonstration to my 11 year old daughter, who always complains that Daddy's Mustang is too loud, that, indeed, I have made it quieter. I put it on Track and say, "Listen," and...
Did you lose the active exhaust when you "added a larger 3" muffler?"
I had no idea the exhaust necked down to only 2.25".
That second clip was pretty quiet. Surprisingly so.
Just so I am clear, your exhaust is stock except headers, no cats, and a larger muffler? But you retained the stock...
So I saw a lot of speculation about using a Whipple this time with more horsepower.
I have not seen any updates.
Does anybody know anything more, like, for instance, did they drop their time down?
