Cracked the tune? No, but I have stock tune files for both the 24 GT and the 24 DH. I also have files from every gen coyote and GT350, GT500, F150 and so on.
There is no "cracking the tune" needed. They just cant be flashed back to the car.
In other news, lets look at some actual (non googled) facts.
This is clutch protection and also tq modulation from the tunefile itself of a manual car. This is how Ford intends to protect you from yourself and "self modulating" tq idiots.
Look at you. You googled. I’m proud.
Meanwhile in reality, your torque modulator pedal assembly will need to be changed every 5k miles or so for routine maintenance. Because after a few uses, it will start to over modulate tq until it modulates out all tq and you end up with a trans full...
Same could be misconstrued for the brakes. lol those modulate tq too right? Or the on/off key. That modulates tq as well. All or nothing. Or that curb over there also can be used to modulate tq. Or that car in front of you.
The clutch is a clutch. There is no guarantee you aren’t going to pop it or slip it to the ends of the earth. lol. You using the clutch to “modulate torque” is not what it’s for. It’s to engage the transmission. Ford has clutch protection settings in the tune to protect people like you from...
Oui. Nobody heard of tq management before I guess...? Normal pedal demand is 100% linear. The sport pedal is enhanced and should allow for the TB to open at an enhanced rate v pedal demand.
That being said, there are tq modulation changes between base, Alt1 (sport/track mode) and Alt2...
This is how the 2018+ mopar cars were unlocked and can be tuned.
For Ford, here is the exact technical reason why you cant tune an S650.
1. Secure Gateway & Controller Locking
Starting with the S650 (2024+ Mustang GT), Ford moved to an enhanced cybersecurity architecture under what’s...
Tuning access will need to be leaked by someone within Ford, or cracked by someone with deep pockets. Thats what happened for the 2018+ mopars. Ford isnt going to "give access" to the aftermarket unless you are a Ford contracted partner like Whipple, Roush and now Procharger.
Aftermarket...
For the record, my comment was a back handed shot at your break in method and the fact that a easy broken in engine usually consumes more oil than one broken in hard. We break them in on the dyno making WOT pulls and heat cycling the engines. Once we make several passes and heat cycles, the...
Its "designed" to run on e10 fuel. Octane is a variable. If it sees low octane, it will adjust spark down. If it sees higher octane and no knock, then it will add spark to a limit. But the factory stoich point is 14.08 in the tune. Thats e10 which most stations have in 87, 89, 91 and 93.
