  1. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

I don't even need the v8. A 2800 lb car with the ecoboost engine making somewhere between 300-350 hp would be incredible! That could easily be done for at or below $40k.
  2. Dark Horse carbon fiber wheel info & predictions

I honestly think carbon wheels are just the latest trend that will eventually fade away. Yes, the performance benefits are huge but if they take on any sort of damage, their structural integrity is gone. I like to think of carbon parts like glass; extremely rigid with virtually zero flex up to...
  3. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

I would love this as well; though you lost me when you mentioned AWD and hybrid. The goal with this should be light weight, inexpensive, simple. AWD and hybrid match none of those qualities. I simply do not understand why there is no new car today that is 2 door, RWD, inexpensive, under 3200...
  4. Silver 2024 Mustang GT S650 spotted

People actually like silver paint?? I know everyone has a different opinion but that has to be the least exciting color out there. I feel like silver paint was made for rental car companies to be the most generic, non-offensive color with the sole purpose of retaining resale value. "What color...
  5. S650 Rear Styling Debate

Minor gripes: 1. The plastic lower valance seems rather tall. I think the S550 proportions look better. 2. I'd prefer the panel between the taillights to be black. I think this looks really good on the S550. But this is extremely subjective and easily fixed with aftermarket. Major gripe: - The...
  6. Video: S650 race car at Mount Panorama for Bathurst 1000

We will be getting the 5.4L. It has to be homologated to be in the racecar so that means Ford has to offer the same power unit in a street car. Probably a special model yet to come, maybe the Shelby or something.
  7. All-New Ford Mustang (S650) GT Supercars Race Car Revealed at Bathurst 1000

Has pricing been listed for these? And are they for private sale in the US? Not that I could afford one but I'm curious if I'll see one at track events. I see plenty of GT3 Cup cars so if it's around $250k, I'm sure I'll see one eventually.
  8. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

I like where your head's at, Chuck. Though I don't think the DH-S will be $70-80k, that would be a screaming deal! Honestly, I don't see why it couldn't be.....take a $40-$50k mustang and add $30k of standard race car equipment and done for $70-$80k. Seems reasonable to me.
  9. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

That's fair; you always want what you don't have, right? With the mustang, I want something smaller and much lighter weight. But if I had that, I'm sure I'd want a V8 again.
  10. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

I know it's FWD and not a ton of power, but there is the Civic SI FE1 for $55k. Still going to handle better and take the abuse better than any modified street car Or there's the Rush SR for $40k or the Elan NP01 for I think $80k
  11. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

The S model Mustangs have always been the goal for us enthusiasts. Hell, I'm slowly trying to make mine into one
  12. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

I believe they announced the Tremec manual for the S/R but I also hope there is an option for the DCT.
  13. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

Why would they need two street legal Dark Horses? They can make the car a whole hell of a lot more fun if you don't need to comply to road laws. Trailer it to the track on the weekends and have a great time. The DHS will be the S650 version of this...
  14. “All New” 2.3L I4 EcoBoost Engine Specs & Photos (S650 Mustang)

If they do FPC again, they better at least use the correct firing order. What we don't need is another "cool" engine that tries to kill itself.
  15. Farley: 8th Gen Mustang Will Have ICE Engine Option

The GT3 homologated street car has to have the 5.4L engine per IMSA rules. It won't be the Dark Horse cause we already know that has the 5.0 It won't be the Dark Horse S or R cause those aren't street legal, thereby not meeting homologation rules. So the GT3 homologated street car has to be a...
  16. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

Oh, I also could not afford one of these. But if I had ~$150k to spend on a car, any factory built track car would be on the top of my list. Apparently Ben Sloss has already ordered a GT3. That'll go great with his S550 GT4 and his GT MKII lol
  17. Why doesn't Ford make the rotary transmission found in the Shelby GT 500 available to all Mustangs?

I'm not sure if you're asking why not put the DCT in all mustangs or why not have a dial gear selector rather than a standard shifter... DCT - definitely cost Dial gear selector - I think they should put these in all auto mustangs. There is really no reason to have an auto shifter that...
  18. 🏴‍☠️ Mustang Dark Horse S and Dark Horse R Revealed!

The pictures are labeled incorrectly in this post. You have "DARK HORSE S" and then show a bunch of pictures of the regular Dark Horse. The "S" model is the same as the Boss 302S or the FP350S - track only. The "R" is just serialized for actual competition. Not trying to be rude, just didn't...
  19. Dark Horse (standard, S, R) Order Thread

Are "S" models ordered the same way? I remember the FP350S was technically a part number, not a car....not sure if that changes anything. Also, wasn't the FP350S over $100k? I would think the Dark Horse S would start above that. Regardless, I agree the Dark Horse S is the car to have....or any S...
  20. Do you like the new rear lights on S650 Mustang?

They are in fact disproportionately small for the rear end. They need to come down further to be in line with the lowest portion of the trunk and thereby making a straight line from taillight-trunk-taillight. That would've fixed the whole thing.
