On a dead straight doing wot pulls. Getting to triple digits The car has kicked out before. I don’t believe it to be to hitting the rev limiter. Just can’t figure out why it’s stopping during acceleration. Talking 130+ which is why I figured maybe it’s limited or something.
Did some small pulls then a wot pull. Not sure if this qualifies but my engine oil temp got up to 264 trans temp went up to 212 and then back to 206 then 204. Oil temp surprised the heck outta me had only seen like 259 before hand.
Not for any negative reasons. I run amsoil sig series in the engine oil due to reasoning that I believe it’s better than the factory stuff. I would swap the trans oil for the same reasons.
Yes it was a warm day. Car was in park when I took the photo I can’t remember if I shut it off before I took it or not but was definitely in park. I’m not sure about the pressure everything I have read varies I’ve seen as low as 14 all the way up to 30 and every number in between with 20 being a...
30 min drive to work for me. Small pulls on the way it got up to 212 and bounced around between that and 208. Never went higher though. The cooling sucks on base models. I had to almost drive like a granny to get it do that. Driving harder would have absolutely made it continue to climb.
What are high cylinder head temps? How much water wetter? I keep reading that 230 oil temps are really normal. That’s what keeps me away from the oil cooler.
So far for base models all I have found is oil coolers which I’m not really interested in. If Ford released these cars like this then I guess all is well.
