Yeah, I'm going to have to step in the ring here...
Whoever doesn't think the Mustang performs in the handling department just hasn't driven the rights ones. Full stop, end of story. You guys are confusing chassis/handling with MONEY. Do the SS 1LE and ZL1 (with or without 1LE) provide the...
Funny you should mention that because I've been wondering if Chevy is going to revive the Grand Sport moniker for use on the C8...
What you're describing...I'd look at it simply as objectivity vs subjectivity. Objectively, the upgraded car can hang on a race track with the "special" one...
If I may...
Let's just say as far as numbers go, both cars are within a hair. Unless we give the M1 the 10A...
If we're talking about "character"...I don't think much of a debate even exists for that.
Historically, cars that have that X-factor of specialness or uniqueness are always...
If Ford just accidentally installed some Aluminator 52XS's into the next "named" car, I wouldn't complain..
Hell, I'd still like to see an all aluminum 7.3 stuffed into a Mustang, too.
Mentioning some of the classic NA masterpieces makes my heart hurt. Add the Audi 4.2 V8 to that list. The...
I'd say it's the same reason the most expensive and sporty/fast cars on the planet do (despite not even having a manual as an option)...it's a timeless design.
Just like an analogue wristwatch vs a digital one IMHO - ain't no one paying thousands for a digital Casio LOL. I take that back...we...
Ford: Hold my beer. LOL
Edit: Also, voted for Tremec. Going DH, I wouldn't think twice about it. GT/P I'm still thinking 6M, but it's more of a 60/40 split...that 10A is awesome.
It's interesting that these spec sheets list the rear brakes...but don't list curb weight. Yet the other spec sheet below does the opposite. Love to see it, lol. Although, the weights listed below are basically a copy and paste from the S550...
(1) 2024 Mustang (S650) Specs Sheet / Technical...
You are correct in terms of the 6 piston Performance brakes. However, we're talking about the base brakes. Both the 2023 and 2024 spec sheets give the same measurements for the standard brakes: 352mm x 32mm rotors and 46mm calipers. They don't mention the rear brakes for the 2024 yet, though.
Tough to say. The calipers look identical. Might be the angle, but I do agree, the rotors in the rear look pretty large.
Edit: They're probably going to keep the current 13.9/13.0 or perhaps run the 13.9 F/R?
All of my Ford contacts have come up with nothing either.
Edit: Although, you guys should see how bad it is for the Dodge boys. Trying to find information on a Last Call model in Canada? LOL. Good f'n luck.
Food for thought...has anyone seen the interior of the new BMW M2? There are quite a lot of similarities between both interiors...which is saying something. The Mustang always had some uniqueness and it definitely lost some in this generation.
I'm sure someone can help a lazy man (me) in...
Nice to see one without the PP as well. Looking at the brakes, they look to be a carryover from the current car.
Edit: Although, I do like the Mustang script on the front caliper. It's a nice touch for the base brakes.
I've been doing this for a few people lately on GT's and M1's. GT's have good rates at 2.49-2.99% for the 2022's...plus a lot of cash discounts to stack on top.
Since the start of the new year, though, M1's rates are BAAAAAD. 6.99-7.49% on the leftover 2022's and 2023's. Unless you are...
Honestly, I'm thinking this is going to be very much like the SN95/New Edge Mustang...as in it's going to an evolution more than anything. I don't think there is anything wrong with that, either...in fact as long as the car stays around and sees some constant updates and tweaks to refine it...I...
The more variants the better, I say. We're nearing the end of the road, like or not and every company should go out with a bang, IMHO. The 7.3 in the Mustang would be freakin' cool. It'll give us options between a GT and DH. Something for the straight-line boys and girls!
I've said it before in another thread and I'll say it again here...if Ford tried to emulate what Porsche does with their 911 interior it would've been perfect. A big center tach to give that racecar feel and some screens flanking it. Then the typical infotainment off in the center. This is...
