Yeah! Give us the deets so we can either:
A: Praise the dealership for being stand up human beings with morals...
OR
B: CAST THEM INTO OBLIVION LIKE THE SCUM THEY ARE!
🤣
Ugh, I went through all my pictures and they must be somewhere on my old PC? I only have my stock setup photos and the photos of the wheels/tires in the boxes while I was in the middle of parting the car out prior to selling it. I'm actually bummed I can't find any ON THE CAR because the setup...
Not the same generation (S197), but I did that on my 2013.
I went to a 275/35/20 front and a 295/35/20 rear. Was roughly 27.7" front and 28.2" rear when I measured the actual setup I had on the car. The car rode nicer, performed better, filled out some wheel gap (stock suspension) and had an...
Excuse me fellas...
Jokes aside, how about one for the EVERYMAN? It's easy to build some high dollar, mega this that and the other...but what would really impress these days is the ability to build one that normal, everyday folks can afford.
Ford has a MASSIVE parts bin to dive through...
Short answer...yes, the gearing is long AF on the MT82-D4 manual transmission. I've always said there should be a 4.XX:1 option from the factory on these cars. This video review should give you an idea of how long the gears are...
2020 FORD MUSTANG BULLITT - REVIEW POV Test Drive on AUTOBAHN...
Honestly, the math just doesn't math. There are simply too many examples out there of owners weighing their cars in the real world and they completely contradict these numbers.
However, with that being said...the delta between the GT500 and DH SC, with or without their respective...
Yeah, I've done a lot of business with a lot of different people over the years and the one thing we can all agree on, is standing on principle. Speak with your wallet. Not a penny over.
Did you get it documented at the dealership yet? CYA mate...
My 0.02.
EDIT: For clarity, CYA = cover your ass. Wasn't meant to be a smart-ass comment. :)
C&D quoted the GTD to weigh 4,404lbs in two separate articles. Yet MT's trio comparison test at Sebring, had the GTD at 4,365lbs. Fudge factor = 39lbs.
The GT500 CFTP weighed 4,067lbs at the 2020 C&D LL. Edmunds U-drags said their long-term GT500 (sans CFTP) weighed 4,168lbs. Difference...
You're forgetting about weight, though...
The previous GT500 CFTP weighs around 400lbs less than the GTD. I won't speculate on DH SC weight, but that is going to be a big factor.
EDIT: Upon looking further, weight seem to be all over the place on both cars. No one ever standardizes a proper...
I'd be curious to see the wheel HP/TQ numbers (which obviously we eventually will).
Seeing as how the DH SC uses a 7 speed transmission vs the GTD using an 8 speed transaxle...there SHOULD be some difference in power to the ground.
Let's not forget that CHOICES are what really drives the competitive spirit with all manufacturers involved. Think of how good we had it in the mid-2010's...choices GALORE!
Every car company had it's niche/core audience and all of the cars sold pretty damn well to justify their existence, too...
Clearly an older thread with not many responses...but for the sake of clarity...did you have the original oil and filter (aka from factory) on until 8,800 miles?!
OP - If you absolutely NEED to sell, you can try one of the various car-bidding sites as well. You may just find the right buyer who digs your car!
Sidenote: I'm seriously surprised the US cars have MSRP's that high. Converted to CAD, you guys are getting REKT on those prices...
Shameless...
I've been doing this for 25+ years. My other family members/friends have been doing the same since the 60's. Minivans, wagons, cars, motorcycles, you name it. Many have gone up to almost a half-million kilometers, with no rebuilds. We also believe in the "Italian tune up" once in awhile...
