For the sake of clarity...
Judging by your profile pic, you obviously track your DH right? Your vehicle still has factory warranty, right? I can't speak for anyone else, but I had a good relationship with my dealership back in the day. If it were me, at the very least, I'd have them put a...

Interesting read for those who want to understand more about breaking in an engine:
Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power
Keep in mind, breaking in a new car goes beyond just an engine. Brakes, transmissions (gears/clutches) and other systems need...
That's why a lot of us got heated/vocal about the current crop of vehicles on offer from Shelby American recently. We remember what ingenuity, grit, passion and outside the box thinking got those folks back in the day. It's a different world now...
I've never moved any goalpost(s). I've never changed my tune. I've said it multiple times...the optics are HORRIBLE if the DH SC makes power figures close to the GTD. In what world is that even controversial?
I don't currently own a Mustang, but I've personally owned 3.
I didn't follow the...
I've already said it. GTD is not for me. The goal-posts associated with the "mission" of that car were moved multiple times. Farley himself said it was built to compete against the 911GT3RS. It did NOT beat that car. They then went with the "first US car to hit a sub-7" to save some face...
They did mention it was supposed to be affordable. Who knows what that'll actual translate to with IRL pricing, but the package looks to have some pretty sweet parts lumped in.
I can understand why with Vaughn, honestly...plus I can see why with the Ecoboost as it's a more value-oriented offering for the younger generation. Test the waters type of scenario, either way, I guess.
EDIT: I think Roush, recently anyway, has sadly went to the back like Shelby American...
What do you guys think about the RTR Mustang being built on the Ford assembly line? I know it's an Ecoboost package and all, but it does prove they still want to have "partnership" vehicles being built in-house.
The First-Ever Ford Mustang RTR I Ford
Honestly...I'm not the best guy to talk to about the GTD. That whole...everything was just a disgusting rug-pull as far as I'm concerned. All the teasers on it...all the PR from Farley himself. "We're going after the Porsche GT3/RS". Everyone with half a brain, saw the teaser from Sebring...
Not only that, but the first RTR vehicle you can actually order via Ford is going to be the RTR Ecoboost package right?
2026 Ford Mustang RTR Is a Four-Pot Pony That's Ready to Drift
For what it's worth, I do think it's pretty cool. It's not something I'd personally buy, but I can see the...
It was an extremely fair comparison because the car in question was the GTD, not the DH SC.
EDIT: In addition to that, the race engine was detuned and LESS powerful than the street version because of BOP and other race series rules/regs.
EDIT2: For the sake of clarity, Rated R and myself...
The FP800S IS a Ford Racing supercharger kit (Whipple), plus a few bolt-ons and stickers from the parts catalogue. It's a rolling advertisement basically. A really cool one, but not one you can buy as a complete package.
By comparison, if you don't think HP between the various models and...
Fella's, don't forget that names meant more back then (all of them) because you could watch them race on the weekends. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday type of thing, right?
The race cars and street cars had a very clear connection/lineage back then. Racing nowadays is sooo far removed from what...
