Thank you for the reply. Buy why? Why, when I proved it is 100% safe to cut them, do you say that a slip on spacer is safer and more reliable?
I respect your opinion, but I am looking for reasons.
Please read before answering the poll! :)
This always seems to be such a taboo topic when it's mentioned, and I'm curious to find out why.
Due to various things (rim width, rim offset, look, etc.) I have determined that 20mm wheel spacers will look the best all the way around, and to do this...
No difference. Get four of these:

And check this out if you think they are too inexpensive:

I never did try it. I just put everything back to stock. Iām guessing the new reverse light would work, but not the running/brake light (obviously). š
Performance Pack Front Splitter
Date completed: 11/21/24
Purchased from eBay (more available as of writing this)
Just enough of a difference for me, and a very simple install. Slips right into place, just like the non-PP splitter, and uses all of the same hardware.
I ordered only two 25mm spacers so I could put them on one side to compare. In my opinion, the rear sticks out a tad too much. The front is flush with the wheel wells and the rear sticks out 5mm.
So 20mm for the rear it is, and yes, Iāll be cutting 3mm off of the studs. Taboo, I know!! š
If itās these rims, itās not because you have longer studs, itās because the relief in the back of the rim is only 4mm, at best. 25mm spacers will not work using these rims without taking off 1-2mm of the studs.
So, Steeda agreed to refund the difference to me, so all's well that ends well.
But... a PSA for all of you:
If you want Steeda spacers, give them a call or email them before you order to make sure you will actually get Steeda spacers:
Steeda 555-6611 Mustang/Explorer 1" Hubcentric Billet...
Yes... and lane assist, yes, intervenes when you get to close to the lane marking.
Lane Keeping keeps you dead center. I've tested it with my hands hovering above the wheel and through all but the sharpest curves, it performs wonderfully.
If you have Lane Keeping on, you will never "bounce"...
This exactly. Not sure how some are using lane keeping and not getting the message. Today it was chilly (for FL) so I was fully taking advantage of the heated steering wheel. Still.... stupid warning. Well, let me rephrase - it isn't a stupid message if your hands are off the wheel. It's a...
Do you have "Lane Keeping" on? What that on, the car holds dead center of the lane... on straights, through curves...
With "Lane Assist" on, it'll bounce back and forth between the lines.
"Lane Keeping" is awesome... except for the stupid warning. Tried it again going to work this...
Thank you for the clarification! I kept seeing "matte" here on the forum, but unless I missed it, it doesn't say "matte" anywhere on your site... just HD and Anti-Glare. I'll be ordering matte soon!
One month of not using 93 and these will basically be free! (sorry, couldn't help it)
The point is that they passed them off as Steeda spacers. This invoice has a Steeda part number.
Oh, they will price match, or I'll return them... then I'll order them from CPWA for $65. I mean, who wouldn't?
This is just uncool to do...
I emailed them, sent pictures of what I received, and here is the reply:
"Thank you so very much for the pictures. I ran them up to our plant manager, our parts manager, and our lead tech, Jamie. After reviewing the photographs and that item number, they assured me that this is indeed our wheel...
