They're marginally better. There was a big fuss back when the Gen 2 voodoos came out and people were still reporting infantile failures and oil consumption issues.
I get that. The place I work makes a few mechanical products and makes (most) of the parts to repair said products. We have to keep some inventory on hand. There are things that happen, sure. But you keep a safety stock of inventory, and you also front load when you release a new product that...
Yep. IDK about you, but when we are late on a part...it's literally just "past due". Usually zero clue when it's coming once it's past due. Could be 5 days, could be 50. That's both with parts we manufacture, and also parts from other suppliers lol.
IF they cared, they would've front loaded proactively. I could understand if they've gotten a good many cars out, and then start having "supply chain issues". But to have them immediately.... I'm with you.
That's odd then. Usually, if it's a commodity or spec constraint issue either:
you can't place the order for that constraint on the front end
you get notified that your order might sit due to the constraint occurring
At least that's how GM did it with their 6th gen camaros the past couple...
Could very well be dependent on your spec. I’m on mobile so if it’s on your comment somewhere, apologies. You said run of the mill, so I’m assuming, not PP, without active exhaust, no magneride right? If that’s the case, you’d think they would try and fill as many of those as they receive.
Is it me or does the ipad look off-center? I get the angle of the shot but still. Would it drive anyone else nuts to have the main display not "top dead center"?
Similar angle for reference. I'm not fully caffeinated yet, so it could be that.
Based off your comments on how you'd use it, get the base GT. Maybe shop for a wheel/tire setup you like while your stock tires wear out, then upgrade on replacement.
Look at some axle backs. Look at spoiler and splitter options. Interior trim.
You could spend that 4500 on all that, and still...
Agreed that proximity is a big part. You mention PA, I would almost promise if you lived in, or near horsham, and had one of the first builds in your state, AWE would give you their axle back so long as you put a sticker on the back glass.
So the number they advertised was essentially the whp. That's insane. Aside from some "dyno outliers" Ford very slightly under-rated the M1/bullitt. But we are talking 10-15HP maybe, not 80-90 like the above.
My money is on a mid-pipe similar to the X style from the GT350. It sounds very, very similar to a mach 1 with a resonator delete x pipe. This would be a good move as alot of 5.0 folks first mod is swapping out that stock resonator. Curious to see what's under there.
I think you're being overly optimistic. Take the new white dark horse that was in NY. If you were Farley, and that was your new, shiny, top trim mustang, with all eyes on it, with people sitting in it, going for ride alongs, would you let it have a single panel off? After making comments about...
I keep a cheap commuter car. I ended up picking up a used mach 1 back at the end of January. Not sure how to delete posts. Appreciate the feedback though!
If you look at a dyno of the 5.0 and the 5.2 you will 100% see why. The 350 doesn't even hit 350 WHP until 5K RPM. Hits 350ftlbs at 3.5K RPMs. 0-60 is not what that thing was made for at all.
