because we can. When you're the top 10 dealers on Mustang (or Ford more generally) you don't give a damn about trying to squeeze the stone of profit so hard that it (the buyer) cries.
Current NoVA/MD cursory market survey
Ourisman Manassas is advertising GTs as low as 16.5% off MSRP when I did a quick look.
Koons Sterling is doing 10% off GT, 12% on Ecoboost
Lindsay Wheaton is doing 12% off GT.
Sheehy is doing 10-12% off GT, 12.5% off Eco
Carbonized Gray...
3.9@60 on Mustangs till early July it looks like. Oddly I can't find verbiage on shorter terms but it seems logical 1.9@36 but don't hold me to that.
Ford is also offering 1000 'trade-in assistance' which is stackable.
they are using Gen3(?) MR for the 650 which is supposed to be quite a bit better than the previous. However, the tuning is what matters, and that assumes the hardware is up to the demands. On S550 the hardware was severely lacking till they changed dampers, but unfortunately didn't adequately...
I think there is a licensing/distribution issue with Torsen and EU/UK such that Ford simply won't. This was true for entire S550 lineup. Torsen is likely to remain USA only.
as to the engine, I would be surprised they don't just recycle the EU/GT spec. DH sales are vastly too few to have to...
ONLY if the MR setup comes with the GOOD dampers. In S550 this means the GT500/Mach1/GT350R units. I'm not clear what the SKUs are for S650. I would hope Ford pulled their head out of xxxx and ALL MR equipped cars have the same dampers, GT/EB and DH. But sadly I doubt it.
There are FAR cheaper...
well, consider the source. Ford doesn't know what good suspension looks like, let alone the masses that shop at AM. If you want ACTUALLY good suspension your best entry point is Ohlins for 3 clams.
But the Pedders and all the other Chinese knock-offs that go under different names...
Katzkin fit is up to the installer. Guy in Rockville on the other side of the tracks from the new Lotus dealership is an absolute ace.
PP comes with a bigger (thicker) radiator which is pointless in street use. The Brembos and rotors can be had for $700 from Shelby take-offs. or $1000 from...
buying it for 10-15% off MSRP.
The price hike for 'premium' content, is a giant ripoff. If you want good seat covering, Katzkin or similar. If you want GOOD audio, get the 9-speaker system (301A) if you must, and then throw away all the speakers and get good ones. Might as well toss the amp...
save your money. The PP1 suspension is laughable. For less money you can put PROPER suspension (Bilstein or FP Track dampers) and 6-pot brakes on the car, and the other bits are trivially sourced and bolted on for a fraction of the asking. If you want anything approaching decent handling you'll...
What RPM range do you generally stay between? I am above 2000 RPM at all times aside from stop(ping). And generally, shift by 3500 in 'typical' suburban driving. Inner city stop and go, is very bad for efficiency even in a Mini.
and chock full of KNOWN engineering ERRORS. Stupid is not compatible with modern engineering.
And the recall of all Mustangs since 2020 for the low brake fluid signal was because some dork didn't bother to read the source code changelog, and the validation team didn't BOTHER to write a test to...
