  1. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I didn't think my iPhone would be all that accurate but then again, thinking about it more...it might well be! I'll check out the apps. My watch even measures levels. Goes INSANE when I'm on the range! :)
  2. Traction Control

I think you missed what I said, man. There are already "electric" cars that get their power from burning hydrogen to run their electric motors. THIS is the way I think it will go. Your only emissions are a small amount of water vapor. No huge, heavy and toxic batteries to dispose of or pay...
  3. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I wish I had a good way to record decibel levels as well. Getting a supercharger put on and I'm curious as to whether that will change the volume on my exhaust. At least in idle. Under power, more pressure probably makes sense to result in more noise..the question is how much.
  4. Active Exhaust - Meh?

That would be interesting. Maybe you can record something and post the results? Would be very interesting just even from the standpoint of how much noise the sound dampening of the cabin provides.
  5. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Ah, I see. Well, at least to me, I can hear a big difference from inside for at least some of the modes. With the windows sealed and radio on. I have my car set to start in quiet mode unless it's after 7AM and then again after 10PM. When it starts and is idling, if I swap the modes to my...
  6. Active Exhaust - Meh?

It does make some significant difference. The difference between the low and high end, especially. Here's a good video to summarize and it includes decibel readings from outside.
  7. Traction Control

Oh I agree. "Power" shouldn't be thought of in terms of spinning tires. As you say, get to know your car, ESPECIALLY if you may end up doing some of these things. I'm just glad to see the recent resurgence of higher power vehicles. Even in the electric market. I do think we'll all be...
  8. Traction Control

I think it's fair to say that any car with this kind of power had better be respected and driven smartly. Mustangs are insanely powerful, especially when you compare to past decades. People talk about those cars in the 60's and 70's that were powerful, but most all of those are much less than...
  9. Software updates.

It's so weird though. I get bugs...used to do software development. But this is weird. My second day of ownership everything reset. Even the map lost my saved locations for home and work. I reset it all. A few days later my colors reset and the map stuff was gone again, but everything else...
  10. Traction Control

    Beautiful car!
  11. Traction Control

Yes, that's what's on my sticker as well along with the brakes and exhaust. Part of why I thought it WAS the PP. Interesting.
  12. Traction Control

Ugh. LOTS of options. I'd asked for the PP and thought it's what I had since it had the brakes and adaptive exhaust, etc. But apparently dealers can add a lot of those things and it NOT be the full PP. Live and learn! Still supercharger ready from what they have told me, so that's cool...
  13. Traction Control

Actually, it's the Performance Package that comes with the Torsen 3.15, I believe. Base like my GT Premium is definitely 3.55 LSD. I have a serious question for you Mustang owners. How careful do I truly need to be? I mean, besides not flooring it when you pull out and turn or are around...
  14. Looking to pickup a 2025 GT premium with performance package - price expectations

Exactly. I don't know about California but my numbers came from the car I bought in Arizona in June. 62K sticker and down to 56 or 57 with "discount."
  15. Looking to pickup a 2025 GT premium with performance package - price expectations

I think it will be sticker at about $62k and probably knocked down to $57/$58k.
  16. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

How in the world does the one have the Performance Package WITHOUT the active exhaust? Are you sure that is accurate?
  17. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I think freezing to death is probably one of, if not THE "best" way to die if you have to. Everything I've read on it says you just get nice and toasty warm feeling and relaxed, then you go to sleep. No panicking like drowning or burning to death. I've always thought that would be one of the...
  18. Software updates.

I've got to figure out where it shows the version. In the scheduled updates area it doesn't seem to. Or, I'm missing it.
  19. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

Nah, I want the warranty. And 800+ HP is more than fine.
  20. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

I had actually planned on one of the new chargers with the dual turbo V6. I liked my charger before. But...they withdrew orders at the dealerships. Apparently having issues with Catalytic converters melting and other electronic/timing problems. Said won't be till late this year and more...
