  1. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

Well, maybe if it's well tuned, but not stock and with it's stock SC. 650HP, I believe...and heavier. Still, with a much bigger displacement engine I'm sure you can push one further. Gonna cost you a LOT more as well, if that's a consideration at all.
  2. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I swear, it sure seems like some people WERE perfect. Somehow. That said, all the "BS" must not be bad enough because people are staying engaged on the thread. I guess "AI" has served a purpose anyway, huh?:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
  3. The moment of truth is tomorrow...

Sorry to hear about the bad news you got (CKD). This life is definitely not fair and things happen to all of us, unfortunately. You've got a beautiful car to enjoy though! May help a little. :)
  4. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

I wonder if the difference is the warranty and power. I've seen a lot online saying that the Whipple Stage 2 is 875HP and the Roush Phase 2 is 810. But the dealer told me both were 810, and sold me on the Roush based on reliability. So I'm wondering, maybe the Whipple with WARRANTY is 810 as...
  5. Got into a hit and run, insurance estimates at $4700 damages, body shop is $7600. I want to get it fixed. How does the repair process work?

Yeah, I know it's not crazy. Just amazing how much more $$ is tied up in these things nowadays.
  6. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

Hmmm.. I wonder what the difference is between the Whipple stage 1 and the Whipple stage 1 WITH WARRANTY?
  7. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

Well, waiting on a specific date from the dealer, but my girl will get upgraded with the supercharger within the next two weeks! Can't wait..it will be fun!
  8. Got into a hit and run, insurance estimates at $4700 damages, body shop is $7600. I want to get it fixed. How does the repair process work?

Ugh...just like my baby. Hurts my heart to see this damage. That being said...$7600?? Really? I think the body shop is trying to negotiate with the insurance to get paid as much as they possibly can. Just doesn't seem to me like the damage would be THAT much. Very fortunate for you...
  9. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I don't think it's a problem if you're on the freeway and doing 45 or so already. I haven't even felt a wobble when I've floored her on the freeway. Now, I didn't do it while going around a corner because I figured that would be bad juju. But other than that, It's fine. I think a lot of...
  10. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Well, you will have a lot of fun. Just be smart. Go find a track or someplace you can safely push things a little without hitting a car, person or pole. Take some driving classes. they have some where you can take your car and do burnouts and stuff and they teach you. I'm assuming you're a...
  11. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Good to know. I'll do some more research on that then. Want to know ALL about the car I'm driving!
  12. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Right...that's what I meant about holding it down. I've seen that. But does the "Track" mode do that somehow without displaying it on the gauges or the switch? That's my concern. It SOUNDS like you're saying that mashing the accelerator in TRACK mode will likely be more risky than in normal...
  13. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Well, given the framing of your comment, I'd rather not! :like: I'm just asking what it turns off that can do this versus Sport mode because I at least don't SEE the traction stuff turned off. I know there are two modes though and using the switch only partially turns it off unless you hold...
  14. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

So I select Drag mode and it doesn't show traction control as off. The switch is still unlit. Is there something else traction related that Drag mode turns off and isn't indicated on the gauges or switches?
  15. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

I'm new to this stuff. Didn't realize there were two types. I did know the Whipple and Rousch superchargers were the displacement type, but hadn't seen any that were this 'centrifugal' type of configuration. Good to know! Thanks. I had kind of thought that this was the key difference...
  16. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Jeez. When I was in school I got accused a few times of plagiarizing, though they could never find any source material to back that up so It never stuck. I just wrote and spoke far ahead of my age and school grade. I'm sure now a days they'd be accusing me of using AI for my papers...
  17. First s650 with ESS Supercharger / Blower

Oh...so you were talking about THAT and not the dyno runs/graphs that were being shown in the video? Ok, that makes more sense to me now then. lol. I was thinking I missed something in the video big time!
