  1. šŸŽ„ First Listen of the Legend Engined 2026 Shelby GT500 Mustang Next-Gen Successor!

A couple weeks ago I pulled up next to one at a stop light with my wife in the passenger seat. She asked, "Are you gonna race him?" I said, "No, I looked up the numbers, and he'll beat me. Still won't ever sound as good though. Those corvette engines sound like your vibrator."
  2. šŸŽ„ First Listen of the Legend Engined 2026 Shelby GT500 Mustang Next-Gen Successor!

Yep, its a mystery to me who's buying them. Most of the people I talk to prefer the older gens. But someone is because 30k of them were sold last year. Maybe the single mid-life crisis type?
  3. šŸŽ„ First Listen of the Legend Engined 2026 Shelby GT500 Mustang Next-Gen Successor!

Ford will have to make a business decision (if they haven't already) whether to pay the licensing fee for the "GT500" name. They could easily call it the Cobra or Boss without having to pay anybody anything, and probably not give up much in sales because the name GT500 means nothing to younger...
  4. Missing MagneRide! Is it a big deal?

I don't have it. If it came with my car's configuration anyway, I probably would have been fine with it, but I wouldn't have proactively paid for it or sought out a car that had to have it. Like others have said, I don't know what I'm missing, and it seems like most people can't tell the...
  5. 2026 Shelby Super Snake R!!!!! 225K

I agree that the S550 went too European. The added roundness doesn't make it look more refined, it makes it look more like just another boring family car. I think the mustangs in the mid-60's actually looked best of all. If Chevy had just modernized the camaro's interior and fixed the...
  6. 2026 Shelby Super Snake R!!!!! 225K

Maybe that's why Shelby made a super snake vert in 2024 but not for 2025. Shame, because I really like how the super snake vert LOOKS (the hood, the alternative spoiler, etc.) but it's not worth the chassis ripping in half one day from the power. Not a good look.
  7. 2026 Shelby Super Snake R!!!!! 225K

It's not just Boomers. I'm a Millenial and I bought a '24 GT without even having to finance it. I think a lot more people my age WOULD buy a mustang if they had the chance to drive it. Quite frankly, I wasn't even considering one till my old Bimmer was in the shop for a while and the rental car...
  8. 2026 Shelby Super Snake R!!!!! 225K

At Shelby 6 months ago: "Sir, market research shows sales scross the board have been slowing since about 2021 when inflation growth began outpacing wage growth. There's nothing that we nor Ford are doing wrong; customers just want more affordable options." "OK, let's figure out how to make a...
  9. 2026 Dodge Charger SixPack Starts At $51,990

What a dumpster fire of an identity crisis. On the outside it looks like an Amazon box with an ugly little hole poked in one of the sides (the front end). And I say that as someone who respectfully loves how the '23 R/T scat packs and hellcat widebody's look. I don't know anyone who's going to...
  10. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Agreed. Carroll Shelby's favorite car to drive in his later years, his AC Cobra with the 289, only had 271 hp at 5,800 RPM. After driving literally RACE cars, professionally, he understood that there was a point where it is excessive. For people going to the drag strip as a hobby, I get it, but...
  11. Active Exhaust - Meh?

My dad had a 1991 Toyota supra (straight 6) with a turbo, and it felt lightning fast. One time on about a 3 mile straightaway near our house he got it up to 130 or 140 and my mind was blown. On paper? 232 horsepower at 5,600 RPM. Double that in an S650 is insane. On the interstate I went from...
  12. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I've heard a lot people recommend the H-pipe . Are there any good videos of without vs. with? I like the loudness of mine stock with AE and would like a deeper pitch, but without making it any louder or raspier.
  13. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Haha that's where I'm at too. I took part in the really dumb car speakers craze about 20 years ago where two 10's or 15's in the trunk with 130+ db bass was considered entry-level. I probably need hearing aids now, but if I get them I won't be able to pretend to NOT hear my wife trying to get me...
  14. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Can confirm, haha. Black is beautiful, luxious, and sinister all at the same time when clean, but keeping it looking clean is a real chore. I chose black for my mustsng because mine isn't my daily driver. My daily (a BMW 3-series) is WHITE. One of my first mustang "mods" was paint protective...
  15. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Convertible top down with Track Mode exhaust is incredible šŸ˜Ž
  16. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I've had several people ask me what kind of exhaust I put on my GT and they're surprised when I share that's how it came stock.
  17. Active Exhaust

Maybe a dumb question, but where's the favorite button, and how can it be programmed? Is thst the blank button to the left of the pony button below the infotainment screen?
  18. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Same here. I don’t need a gimmicky drift brake, don’t need summer tires, and don't need magneride. If I wanted a numb ride I'd buy an M2. Did swap out the stock rims, buy the performance pack's chin splitter/spoiler, and add the brembos option for aesthetic improvements, but not for the price...
  19. 2026 on order. What first mods should I make?

Agreed, I was surprised how good it comes from the factory. Ford is doing a lot with the base Mustang now that used to only be available with aftermarket mods. Even the engineers at Shelby commented that Ford is making their job more difficult. I think the active exhaust sounds great, but then...
  20. Install of Shelby style hood vent with thermal pics

I love the super snake style hood. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that anyone was making one yet. I'd want it paint matched too.
