Probably not a popular take, but if you want something faster than the prev gen GT, get something other than a mustang. There are several zippy little 2 seaters avilable that cost the same or less, that don't weigh as much, have quicker 0-60 times, and get better gas mileage.

That's what I was thinking too. You can get a bone stock GT and install a whipple supercharger for 800HP for less than $70K, and I presume a GT500 would be $80K+ which is Corvette and Porsche territory.

Ford might be trying to increase earnings per share by increasing profitability. Ford's stock is doing not-so-great right now. I haven't dug into the details but my guess would be that they're taking a hit from lack of interest on EV's:
It's fine. Nobody buys a mustang for the sound system. I probably wouldn't have paid extra for my b&o system, but it came with the high equipment package so I got it anyway, and can't complain.
For city driving, I love the sound of my GT's engine and don't want the music so loud that it drowns...
I just used plasti-dip to make my pony emblem matte black instead of chrome and it looks fine. Didn't have to take anything apart or put anything back together. Followed this guy's tutorial:
$100K premium on this, yikes! I would honestly pay a $25K premium for just the whipple supercharger, front end, hood, and rims, although maybe a package like that will be more like a future GT500 release.
