  1. Whipple and Resale Value

If we assume that you understood your dealer friend correctly I cannot imagine why he told you that. It’s a general tenet of business as a new car dealer that if you have to floorplan your used cars, ie trade-ins, you’re likely teetering on the edge of financial insolvency. No long-term...
  2. Whipple and Resale Value

Yeah, in my non-technical opinion the DH totally cured whatever problem I had with my GTā€˜s steering. Or maybe I just thought I felt it. Or it could have been the Continental tires? I guess it needs to be said too that I’m surrounded by hundreds of miles of curvy mountain roads and I like to roll...
  3. Whipple and Resale Value

I don’t care for the C8 styling either. Again for lack of more sophisticated verbiage it’s just too zoomy for me. Looks like a caricature of the love child thrown off by a Ford GT and most recent Lambos. Too angular with too many creases and eye diversions. My wife put it more succinctly: she...
  4. Whipple and Resale Value

I can’t fault you for looking at a Portofino. It’s a beautiful high-end European GT car in the genre of the 550 Maranello and many Aston GT cars. I think the general styling similarity to these cars is partly responsible for me being so crazy about the looks of the Mustang 550/650 series. Your...
  5. First GT500 production body spotted

Thanks. I’m a little literal. I was racking my brain trying to figure out when they made an EcoBoost GT.
  6. First GT500 production body spotted

Help me here. What do you mean?
  7. Whipple and Resale Value

This gentleman right here is smack dab on the money. Not only will you not get any money back from your supercharger ā€œinvestmentā€œ, but the car won’t normally even bring as much as a bone stock one. That’s just the way of the world and likely always will be. I’m sure there are occasional...
  8. Base Spoiler to Handling Package Spoiler upgrade

I’m glad this kit has become available. Yeah I may be biased but I think itā€˜s the perfect spoiler for a Mustang. I call it the ā€œGoldilocksā€ spoiler. Not too much, not too little but just right!
  9. Play with me for a bit

ā€œThe most expensive 2024/2025 Mustang you can buy, assuming a Dark Horse with a Whipple and all the extras, totals just under $100K. So lets assume that is the top price, which excludes 99% of what one could call an exotic.ā€ Kind of implies it, wouldn’t you say?
  10. 5 Reasons Why The Base Mustang GT Is Better Than The Darkhorse!

Youā€˜ll get no argument from me on this. They’re beautiful. Not to mention the statement made by 315s on 11s from the factory.
  11. Play with me for a bit

Help me a little bit here with your premise. I was unaware that you could buy a Dark Horse with a Whipple factory installed. Sure you could build one but you could also build one up to $200K if you so desired, much less $100K. Not the same as ā€œbuyingā€ one.
  12. One of the cheapest, handiest mods you can do in 10 seconds for your interior. Door handle pockets fit and look great!

I could not agree more. It’s the first thing I do when I get a new Mustang. Hard to believe making this space into a phone cubby isn’t a factory thing.
  13. How many are regretting

Youā€˜re exactly right. I have to chuckle when posters speculate that lack of tuning hurts S650 sales. Not one Mustang buyer in a jillion cares about it, or even knows what it means. It’s only a factor on forums and the like, representing a tiny piece of Mustang sales. Why else would Ford have...
  14. Ford Mustang Darkhorse on 20" Velgen VF10 Wheels

Tom, no recalibration needed for speedo or other computers going from 19s to 20s?
  15. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

And this right here is the reason I’m always able to resist the temptation to sell one of mine and get a nice old Goat or Z-28 just for the sake of nostalgia. The DH is just too good, and requires little more than the push of a button and you’re enjoying a great car which as you say exceeds...
  16. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

Me either Paul. I see it as pretty simple: you put your foot into it, you feel what it’s got. I truly cannot fathom why that’s even a topic to think about, much less discuss.
  17. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

Exactly my point. Yeah, those old 2GC/2Gs honking WFO on a good tri-power Goat honestly sounded like they could suck medium-sized birds out of the sky. Those who were there first hand will never forget that sound!
  18. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

Hardly whining. I’m just pointing out that helping someone out with a problem that is not really a problem to start with is not exactly getting us closer to world peace. Kinda makes one wonder how we ever drove big engine high horsepower cars without computer controls doing our jobs for us. And...
  19. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

Once again, I’m sorry but I gotta say you guys whining about throttle response, linear or non-linear response, sluggish in whatever mode, pedal commanders and so on ad nauseam really crack me up. Whatever happened to just giving it the beans for goodness sake? I’ll 100% guarantee you that if you...
