Great car and great find but $87K MSRP? Legit MSRP on the factory sticker without BS dealer add ons? Granted mine was a ā€˜24 but it was $73,715 honest MSRP also with HP and Recaros. Was your matte PPF a factory item and if so how much? Or have they just gone up that much between ā€˜24 and ā€˜25?
  2. Considering selling my special order GT

Dude, just get out there and try it. You’ll find out quickly enough. Start off slower and increase speed incrementally and it won’t bite you. For sure!
  3. Considering selling my special order GT

OP, one more possibility in addition to fluid. (This is for after you try track mode!). Your A10 may need a s/w update. Ford seems a little schizophrenic as to how they want it to shift. My 2020 GT shifts very hard most of the time. Kinda reminds me of the result of putting a Royal Pontiac...

Did you try track…aww never mind!
  5. Considering selling my special order GT

You might want to have a knowledgeable and trustworthy tech check the trans fluid level. It’s supposed to be done at PDI but often is not because following prescribed procedure is a real PITA and nobody can ā€œbeat the bookā€ doing it. Low fluid could easily cause your symptoms.

  7. Considering selling my special order GT

Well certainly I’d mind, yes without a doubt. But as I mentioned I’ve had nine of these things in the last few years: a 2020 GT (a great car, still have it), a combination of several ā€˜22-ā€˜24 GTs and Mach 1s and now additionally two ā€˜24 Dark Horses (one manual, one automatic). While this doesn’t...
  8. Considering selling my special order GT

I don’t give such a thing the remotest thought. If I had to think about every move I made driving I couldn’t possibly enjoy it. I put it in track mode, hit the gas and the car goes like stink just like they did back in the old days. No weirdness whatsoever. Why would I care about knowing more?
  9. Considering selling my special order GT

You didn’t ask me but I’ll be happy to butt in about my tune. It’s very reasonably priced and is in actuality my left thumb. You just click the drive mode selector a few times and pop it into track mode. Then liberally apply that device found at the end of your right leg to the accelerator...
  10. Considering selling my special order GT

Maybe. As I mentioned I’m old, perhaps with the attendant reflex diminution age supposedly brings. And I enjoy rolling pretty hard. Yet amazingly I’ve escaped serious bodily harm thus far. There have certainly been a few important safety developments over the years that have saved many lives...
  11. Considering selling my special order GT

I wish I could have ā€œlikedā€ this post more than once. I’ve had 8 or 9 new V-8 Mustangs since 2020, including GTs, Mach 1s and now Dark Horses. Never once, literally, have I ever not been in track mode in a single one of them except for a couple times when my wife wanted to drive a little. And I...
  12. 6 speed RPM question

I hope you won’t take this as sounding condescending or snarky. It isn’t meant to be. But I’m in my mid-70s and I rarely look at the tach unless there’s a specific reason, like maybe I’m doing a pull and want to maximize power delivery. Otherwise, I shift by instinct and listening to the engine...
  13. Considering selling my special order GT

I assume that in a bit of a roundabout way you’re asking for our thoughts as to whether you should sell. If I were you and unable to get in my car and just drive it and enjoy it, I’d sure as heck sell it. Thing is though I’m not sure what’s out there in this price range that’s perfect enough to...
  14. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

In a word, yes. The capability of the HP car is hard to imagine until you’ve experienced it. I’d love to see a video of a stock HP Dark Horse vs a stock 2020 GT350 nose-to-tail on the ā€˜ring for a couple of laps. But of course it’ll never happen. I suspect there would be way too much...
  15. Which Car Represents America The Best A Tesla Vs The Ford Mustang ?

You know, if you rearranged the letters in a couple of your words just a bit your statement might be more accurate. Maybe something like ā€œthe troll is a prā€¦ā€, well, you know.
  16. Trying to choose a license plate.

Well I’m not sure it’s nosy to ask for clarification of something you first brought up in your own post, now is it? Heck, it’s interesting!
  17. Trying to choose a license plate.

And that reason is well, what exactly? Are the bad guys still after you like you told us before?
  18. My Dark Horse Arrived!

That red really pops! Which red is it? My development kinda stops at Ruby and Rapid. I have a Rapid Red GT but yours looks more like Ruby. Either way it’s striking! P.S. You’re gonna LOVE the DH!
  19. Whipple and Resale Value

    Yep. 100% this.
  20. Becoming a Ford Mustang owner

There’s a difference between having a piece of paper that says you have a warranty and actually getting said warranty to cover something that blew up because you used the aftermarket supercharger for itā€˜s intended purpose. Point is, if you’re very much concerned with warranty don’t get a...
