Sadly, my local Ford dealership was not confident they could complete uninstall them, refresh them and reinstall them. I guess Ford doesn't sell these kits to the dealerships to prevent them from up-optioning non Dark Horse vehicles. I applaud their tech's honesty about not really being sure he...
I'll attach this here since one of the members posted the images in another thread.
I am going to attempt this however am hoping to see if I can convince one of my local Mustang Club guys, who has a Mach I, to assist with this. Dean, if you are reading this. Beer is on me!!!!
Not sure there is a question here? I'm not an economist however from a high level I do know that economics involve a lot more than just "what you see".
Let's travel down the rabbit hole and do a comparison on 2 Johns.
John Smith (of the Houston, Texas Smiths)
John Smith (of the Toronto...
Fair!!! Wait until you see that you can't switch between your custom modes by using the SWITCH MODE button.
If you have CUSTOM 1 and that is set as your default custom mode then that is what you get when you select CUSTOM MODE.
If you have CUSTOM 2 set as your default custom mode, then that is...
Mmmm, it's a little more complicated than just "How much did the price go up".
Think of it like throwing a stone into a pond with ripples that spread out from the point of impact.
Tariffs in place on assembled/finished products, as well as raw materials, result in increased production costs...
I'm surrprised it was not worse.
With tariffs in full effect across the automotive sector, as well as raw materials for production, I expect the next few quarters are going to look like a dumpster fire.
Gotcha. Not sure Tariffs would apply to something like that however if it does I'll shop elsewhere and see if I can find something from north of the wall or even from Europe. Not gonna get caught up in someones price and market manipulations.
Yeah, they are down in Hamilton. They have done a fair bit of work on my Mustangs over the years. I'll check in with them and see their pricing on these.
EDIT: All I could find on their site was the 800hp ones.
Mustang 800HP Axle Pair - Steeda
Did you contact them directly to order?
Appreciate that. Axles are definitely on the list before any sticky mickey goes onto the car. Even on the street I can see the stage 1 snapping stock stuff if you hook on an overly hard launch.
Where did you get the axles from? I was debating the Ford Performance ones for an off season purchase. This year got a little crazy with swapping wheel and tire setups around + the supercharger.
Agreed with the gents above.
Go with what you know. So if you go to a car meet and hear something great? Ask the guy the full setup from the engine back.
If you want to try your own stuff I HIGHLY recommend you do it in pieces. Add one piece, try it, see how you like it then move on to the...
Thank you! A gentleman and a scholar. And maybe a hoarder too but you got them!!! Nice.
I see they show to put the tabs behind the carpet liner like another member here said! Guess they didn’t read instructions during PDI!!!
I did the Steeda Sport Progressive springs (for Magneride). Drops you 0.8" all corners.
Yes, you do have to be careful driving places. I've rubbed a little bit but nothing that shows damage to the chin splitter so it's more like just under it.
Did anyone get the box and keep their instructions for mounting the fender flares/wheel lips?
As some of you guys know; after the whipple install whatever double sided tape was basically wrecked when the front bumper came off and went back on. I went and bought replacement stuff.
3M Tape -...
I have both the passenger and the driver side.
After about 800km since the Whipple install I checked both.
PASSENGER = maybe a tea spoon of oil
DRIVER = completely empty
I would say that you don't NEED both :)
Doing a week long road trip in July to the Tail of the Dragon with my son. Would rather not get stuck. Plus just having a spare makes good sense. Even if driving down the street.
