  1. Which Model to Purchase???

Little research on car gurus and found this: https://www.platinumford.com/new-Terrell-2025-Ford-Mustang-GT+Premium-1FA6P8CF9S5416371 https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FA6P8CF9S5416371 Perf Pkg for $8k off.
  2. Gearbox noise

Opposite here, mine makes more noise when holding the stick.
  3. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

I bought a “Job 1” Mustang GT with a 6 speed manual. Because it didn’t have start/stop, had to pay $1000 gas guzzler tax. It gets worse gas mileage and is slower than the A10 auto. But I wanted a stick shift. With the helper aids turned on (hill assist and rev match) it’s the easiest stick I’ve...
  4. Dagger plus heart

I paid $1000 gas guzzler tax (no start stop/6 speed manual). Wondering if I'll get that refunded.
  5. Ford Protect Plans

I originally did not have that included so I called Ford and they said the initiating dealer can add it. I contacted my dealer and they were able to add the Interior/Exterior Lighting package for $70. In other words it's no longer "Excluded". Dealer was happy to accommodate as they learned that...
  6. S650 Mustang V8 to Get Ford Performance Calibrations (Tune)

Makes me wonder if/when Ford releases a ProCal based FP Tune how much they'll claim on what I am expecting to be a 91+ tune. Furthermore, if their tune can be a new base as a "stock tune" to see what improvements were made or can be made from there from the custom tuners. In the meantime I'll be...
  7. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

I remember the black sludge. There’s a theory that after an oil change, the coyote BBQ Igniter/typewriter tick reappears since there’s no longer any suspended carbon from the combustion process. And the reason that there’s no tick from the factory is because Ford puts in a friction modifier...
  8. New tune capability for 2024 Mustang GT

Same if/when they release the ford performance procal tuner for the S650.
  9. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Yeah, I don’t think it works like that either. I’m already on a stock tune blending 91 ($4 per gal) and 100 ($10 per gal) to get to 93, pretty much always in sport mode. That’s why I was wondering where and how readily the gas can be changed given that E85 is hard to come by here.
  10. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

That’s not my question. It’s how to switch when e85 is not available (not many stations around me have e85 and 93 needs to blended from 100). So if I fill up on a road trip and I’m down to 1/4 tank, it’s essentially e30. Then after another refill, it’s back to 91, how to switch between them...
  11. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

I think this answered one of my questions - what if you’re on a road trip and can only get 91, how do you switch from e85 to 91 tune. Follow on question, at what point do you switch if it’s 4 gals of e85 and 12 gallons of 91, which if my math is right is e30? So instead of ghost tune, having...
  12. S650 Tuning Info

I guess that's what happens when a forum is created from a previous one. Looking back, I can't say I much like that idea. Meanwhile, I have an account over on 6G from 2022 when I had first had my Ecoboost but missed the carryover cutoff date to this forum. So instead of Mustang people, there's...
  13. Inside stock resonator

All I know for certain is that mine is different, since I don’t have active exhaust like the Dark Horse test mule in the more recent video. Nor do I have what ever other improvements a DH has to get 500hp over my 480hp (whereas active exhaust GT’s have 486). It’s so tempting to get the H pipe as...
  14. Inside stock resonator

This is over and above CAI as it was included in all 3. Also it’s a Dark Horse with active exhaust. Again this was additive to that. Not sure how it would be in my base GT without active and only Roush dual tip axle back.
  15. Inside stock resonator

    I posted a cutaway of I believe a S550.
  16. Dark Horse badge inspiration.

This is from my son’s S550, front seat release pull for the back seat passenger. I think I know from where Ford got the design for the Dark Horse badge.
  17. Inside stock resonator

Yes. Here’s the video. Posted only a few weeks ago.
  18. Inside stock resonator

There’s an updated Steeda video where they found the H pipe makes 10 ft lbs more torque at 2800 rpm. Very tempting. Hard to say how it would improve my setup, not active exhaust, but have Roush axle back. Here’s a screen capture.
