When I got the car I was extremely disappointed by the flat sound of the base model sound system. I was considering blocking the central speaker, disconnecting it... Until I tried tweaking the EQ and got great results. Give it a try. I am pretty picky when it comes to music, and these...
So there were a few times I had to start my old Mustang when the battery was almost dead. If you're on a hill, you can easily do it yourself:
1. Release to hand brake, while holding the brake pedal and clutch
2. Put the car into gear
3. Release the brake
4. Let the car get some speed ~ 5 mph
5...
I noticed this right away on my car--the panel was not pushed in all the way to the left. I gave it a good kick and it snapped in place. No rattles, no noise. Make sure it's snapped into the body properly.
On my old Mustang there was the clutch plate rubbing against the clutch housing. It got worse and worse throughout the years until the metallic noise was horrible. It happened at cold starts, and would fade out within a few minutes. The fix was to remove the clutch cover, add a couple washers...
My car is also on 6.2, and has been on it for a while now.
TBH, the firmware is pretty stable, no issues for me. I don't care about the classic gauge cluster theme, I like the default one.
Sounds like a misfire. I had that on an old car in 2004. It would also rattle/shake when driving and guzzle gasoline at an abnormal rate. It wound up being the main harness that had one of the tiny cables damaged. It would come and go, most of the time at cold starts.
I don't have tinted windows. Use special WD-40 with silicone, which is supposed to be good for rubber. I saw an ad for it this morning, coincidentally, specifically for this purpose. You don't need a ton of it, just a thin film. In other words, don't flood your car, just take a paper towel...
I wound up following the procedure for the Ford Trucks and it worked. There is no way to disable the warning chime from the settings.
Before following the procedure, make sure that:
* The parking brake is set.
* The transmission is in park (P).
* The ignition is off.
* All vehicle...
I drive it in NYC all year round. When there is a snow storm, I leave it parked obviously. I worry more about other people not stopping in time and rear-ending me, than me spinning out.
All you do is pack 250 lbs of ballast into the trunk. In my case it's cat litter which won't go to...
Never scrape the snow off the windows, unless the window is frozen shut and you cannot get in. Otherwise you will scratch the glass/metal.
I usually clear just enough snow in order to allow me to open the driver's side door. I condition the rubber seal with WD-40 so that the door/glass does...
Also, on my base model, after tucking the cable around the trim I recently added a few drops of shoe glue along the cable length so the cable stays tucked in. I tried fasteners, but they kept falling off. This is just silicone that can easily be torn off.
Go to the dealership, ask to try out another Mustang for comparison to rule out that your Mustang has a steering issue. I find the steering wheel not light as a feather, but just right, meaning when you go over bumps, the steering wheel doesn't get knocked off center, how it works on other cars.
A year and a half ago, there were no cars available, people had to wait for 6 months for a new one being built. There was also a UAW strike. But now the production has ramped up.
I remember it being so absurd that every dealership would only sell you cars at the sticker price. Now there...
