  1. Water drips into footwell.

On my old mustang the water leak was caused by the grommets getting clogged with leaves. Old mustangs had the cowl vents that used to let all this garbage inside. New Mustangs do not have this issue as there is a mesh that covers the vents. I guess fine particles can still enter and clog the...
  2. Impressive 23.8 MPG on the highway!

For me, at optimal settings cruising it's 30 miles per gal. If the road is level, if I set the cruise control and don't do anything. But it's hard to maintain these ideal conditions.
  3. Glare in winshield

This happens with me sometimes at sunset, when the sun is glaring right at me. But if the inside the windshield is clean then it's not a problem. I clean the windshield thoroughly with microfiber and a fuzzy towel, and it's not an issue.
  4. What is this antenna?

convertibles have that, because there is no roof to put the shark fin one on.
  5. Please help me. Dented my Stang!!!!!!!!

There are dent specialists all around. they use glue and bend the metal back into its shape. I had somebody side-swipe my car and the guy fixed it without drilling any holes. You can barely see it anymore.
  6. Auto StartStop

Starting, stopping any device is bad for it. Computer, car, electric organ, lights, AC.... Sometimes it's better to leave things on. Known fact.
  7. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

OK, don't turn off stabilization when you're on a public road.
  8. Scraped my new 20" rim at the local Chick-A-Filet

I used to scrape my old rims. And it's not the rims, it's the tires! Once I got Bridgestone Serenity tires, they go over the rims and are just a tad wider. Have never scraped my rims ever since.
  9. First mustang and it’s nothing but problems

Could be a serious wiring issue, the main wiring harness. It's 100's of tiny wires, and if it's damaged, things can turn on/off intermittently. I had an old car where the engine would start misfiring intermittently. Took a lot of time and money to narrow it down to the wires crapping out. The...
  10. HOLES IN FRONT FENDERLINER

Ford will not do anything about it and will gaslight you. Unless you want to leave the car for a month while they diagnose it and find nothing wrong. Ideally you should be able to get fender liner replacements without the hole and re-install it. In practice, there are several solutions to...
  11. The Added Costs of Buying a New Car

For me the insurance nearly doubled, and that's insane. I was not ready for it. But then I moved to Texas, and the insurance is back to what it used to be lol.
  12. Broken fake air vent

Yes, happened to mine too after some idiot backed into my parked car, scratched the bumper too. It's a simple fix, and a good mechanic can easily pop it back in. You need to take the fender liner off in that one spot, and just do it from the inside. Unless the plastic is broken. Doesn't...
  13. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

I noticed that in sports/drag, etc modes, when you take your foot off the gas, the car decelerates, does more engine-braking. And that's kind-of annoying. In normal mode, when you take your foot off the gas, the car decelerates more smoothly. So after trying all different modes, I still...
  14. PREMIUM-VS-REGULAR GAS FOR 2024 GT??

For regular highway driving, in my testing, Regular gas gives you the best mileage. V8s are really forgiving in what you put in them. If you need to race somebody, then that's another story.
  15. How many Mustangs have owned?

This is my 2nd one. First one was a 2007 GT premium. I miss that car, it was so basic, bumpy, rough without all the modern-day frills. Lots and lots of road trips on that one... I think it's the best-looking modern Mustang since the original run (1964--1970). I learned to drive stick shift...
  16. Should I do first oil change at dealership?

But if something goes wrong, then you will need to prove you did everything correctly. As opposed to there being a record of you bringing your car into the dealership. (even though dealerships can often screw things up).
  17. Should I do first oil change at dealership?

In my opinion and experience, do oil changes at the dealership, and all their inspection until you run out of warranty. Then do whatever you want. Less things to try to prove if something goes wrong.
  18. E-Brake (Parking Brake) Not Engaging (sometimes)

Um, I know how to engage it :) it just does not engage sometimes.
  19. E-Brake (Parking Brake) Not Engaging (sometimes)

Several times, when I park my manual trans. Mustang, and I pull on the parking brake tab, the brake does not engage. It blinks "Parking Brake not applied". Pulling on the tab does nothing. It starts to work when I turn the car off, then on. It's happened a few times in the past, and now it...
