I drive manual transmission, forgot to mention, so the car does not downshift, unless I do it myself :). therefore, for me, Normal for just driving forward on the highway with Sports steering is the ideal setting.
I like normal mode with sports steering. I find that other modes are not as good for coasting, and the cur clunks forward when passing. I set up a custom profile with basically that. I love the stiffer steering feel, so I don't need to "hold" the wheels in place, the car just coasts forward.
FWIW, I got caught up on the firmware updates. I decided to give the Lane Keep Assist feature on during my recent road trip: Brooklyn to Lancaster, PA and back. I gotta say, the feature has gotten a lot better. It hasn't pulled me like it had in the past. It was very precise.
The only...
In my experience, larger wheels (thinner tires) result in a bumpy drive quality. I am happy with my stock 18” Ebony Black Painted Aluminum Wheels. Looks great too. People used to black our their rims back in the day, now they come stock.
On my old car, I had 19" wheels, and could feel...
Let's hope that Canada and Mexico cave, as they will most likely. Nobody knows for sure, until prices go up. So, let's stop playing financial experts.
Also, don't forget, we had Janet Yellen, the secretary of treasury, who "thought that inflation would be transitory". Remember that.
Maybe it's an automatic transmission feature... but for me, if I turn off the lane keep (not that extra complicated cruise control thing), it turns off. Again, I don't like it being on, it's pretty much dangerous. But if you are driving in a straight line, and want to reach into your glove box...
Yes, that shit is scary. Early on, with early firmware versions, there were a few times when the car started pulling me seemingly into the wall. I don't use lane keep, except when the road is straight-forward, and I'm about to get distracted. Do not use it in low disability, in the dark, et.c.
Turn off the lane keep feature. It is very annoying to me. I only use it for a few seconds when I need to do something potentially distracting, like changing the climate control settings.
Looks right. Mine didn't have wheel locks, but I bought them right at the dealer -- people like to take the wheels off and leave your car on cinder blocks. Doesn't matter if it's a high crime area.
It's a good practice to bring in your new car to a Ford dealer on a regular basis. Sure, it's not necessary if you have no issues, but that's how potential issues can get discovered. Plus in case something goes wrong, you have proof that you were servicing your car on a regular basis...
All this stuff nobody asked for, re: parking brake button. I guess It is convenient to have the parking brake auto-disengage. Or auto-engage if you have the the "auto-hold" feature enabled and turn off your car.
But I always have to double-check if I activated it or not. Sometimes it...
I listen to audio books, youtube, pandora, apple music, everything sounds great at any volume. With everything in the middle it sounded like a cheap crappy boom box.
I never bothered doing anything with my previous '07 Mustang in terms of winter in NYC. The only thing that I experienced one time is that it rained and then the temps dropped to something like 7* F. Since then, I coat the rubber seals around the door with special WD-40 with silicone. I spray...
