FWIW, the owners manual suggests using catch cans when tracking the car.

Catch Can
If you plan to track your vehicle and it did not come with an oil catch can, we recommend that you purchase the catch can kit though your authorized dealer or Ford...
im 40, been wrenching on cars since high school, was an auto tech when in college. have installed several turbo/superchargers over the years (mostly 4 cyl cars), plenty of tools at the house.....BUT Whipples instructions were very good, and a few videos online helped
a lift would have helped with the bumper for sure. if just doing a basic whipple install, an average home mechanic could do it in a weekend. saved me the $3,000 I was quoted.,
Are the oil pump gears AND Crank Sprocket an absolute must on a street Whippled Dark Horse?
Wanted to get input, as yes the cost is minor for the risk, but is it absolutely necessary or is it overkill?
Thanks for everyones input!
I should note that I do have wheels and tires (Velgen VF5s 305/30/19F & 325/30/10R Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires) already on my car as the Trofeos barely made it 26 laps at G2 Motorsports
what other suspension mods would you suggest for a HP Dark Horse?
Im seeing several people posting about how completely stock Dark horse with a whipple is making huge out of the box power.
Im curious if I should do headers and some other mods in the meantime, or just keep saving up for the Whipple kit.
Goal is 850whp in the future
Any insight would help me...
Awesome post! makes me want to save harder for the whipple! ive been having to live vicariously thru posts like this while i keep stacking nickels until I get enough to do the whipple setup!
Hey all, have a bent wheel from pothole. Just replaced the tires and Discount tire showed me how wonky the wheel that was on the LF was and had some inner lip bent spots.
Is anyone willing to sell just one 19x10" wheel? Or both Fronts? or make me a sweetheart deal on all 4?
Just replaced the 4 Trofeo RS tires with some new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. 4138 miles, no burnouts, plenty of spirited driving, 1 track day at G2 Motorsports Park with about 20 laps.
The car has been driven in all weather here in Texas and had some sidewall cracks from 20 degree cold...
i have been able to program the garage on all our fords, no problem, however we have a sliding gate that encloses our driveway, and I cant seem to get it to program it to anything other than the remotes. None of my fords would read the remote for some reason.
