Mustang EcoBoost Ford Performance Cal Install?

Is this install pretty straight forward?

There aren’t any specific pdf links with directions for the Mustang EcoBoost model online…..is it safe to assume that the module itself guides you through it?

I had the dealer install mine due to it having a 3yr/36k mile warranty if installed by dealer or ASE certified technician.

I'm still under a thousand miles, so I haven't had the chance to really open it up to feel the difference.

The installer at my dealership wired the procal box next to the forward left speaker using the mounting bracket and suction cup. Really nice placement out of the way. The question I have is what do each of the displayed gages measure and what are the normal values for each gage?

That's way cool that you have it installed and usable. I knew you can use them for reading codes, etc. But I never thought about using it during regular driving.

I did the FPT on my 22 RANGER with a 2.3L and Normal became Sport and Sport became Super Sport.

the change in shift patterns was an improvement too

You go to SAE for standard things

Most of which can be seen on the gauge cluster or aux gauges. Can the displayed parameters be changed on that? I haven't checked out that feature of mine yet/

Yes,

I was going through them yesterday and saw a whole slew of parameters that you could monitor in addition to the ones the car already has.

Just be aware that that ProCal is now married to your Stang.

you be able to plug into other Fords and read info but it’s a Stang ProCal now due to being tied to your VIN

According to the instructions, once you use it to change tire size, then it becomes VIN locked.

1. Connect Pro Cal 4 tool to the vehicle using the included cable.
2. Power vehicle on by pressing the start button, to full accessory mode (engine off).
It is recommended that you have the vehicle on a battery charger during these following operations. Loss
of power during programming/configuration can cause corruption to the modules.
3. You will see this screen pop up once the Pro Cal 4 tool has finished loading.
4. Select Diagnostics & Tools
5. Select Tire/Gear Adjust
6. Notice this will VIN lock this Pro Cal 4 device to this vehicle.
