A great launch (say 1.5 60 foot) will go 11.5 @ 115mph

Go look up the old bolt-on times of the Cobra and LS1 Camaro/Firebird guys back when they were going at it in the old days

@Q6543 has some old threads where he was drag racing before he added the blower. He had some good times on just a good (drag) rear tire.

EDIT: He is posted in this thread. It looks like he ran 12.0 on page one before the drag tire.

Some stock guys have run 12.0/11.9 @ 118-120mph since the 2018's came out

I did a 12.38 at 115.60 and a 1.92 60 ft on the stock 275 40 19 Pirelli tires in my old 2020 GT Premium 401A A10 Performance Package car with a DA of 3900.
I've made 100's of passes down the 1/4 mile over the last 45 years.
It's always fun learning a new car.
Here's a picture of my old 1969 428 CJ 4spd Mach 1 at the dragstrip back in 1990 at Calgary Alberta. The DA was around 4800-5000 on that day!

Sounds like you learned the same lessons I have, drag racing my '67 Mustang GT 390 4 speed... if you want the best possible performance from your car, put the power to the ground with a automatic transmission.
Especially the highly tuneable 10R80!

PS: We also have similar ETs, my best is 12.35 at 116 mph with a 60' in the 1.9s

Pretty sure that all 2024 and newer Mustangs come with drag mode. I was launching it in drag mode and was getting quite a bit of wheel spin in the second to Third and third to Fourth shift. When I go out to the track next week I'm going to do a run or two in sport mode and see what happens.
My car is not quite 100% as it was when it left the factory. I put in better flowing AFE dry filters as well as removed the carbon traps from the intake and added a custom H pipe. I also have the Steeda rear IRS cradle braces.
The trans shifts at a higher RPM in sport, track, and drag modes compared to normal mode, so you're losing a little bit of time there too. One of the tuner guys on the forum posted the shift tables a month or 2 ago.

He can't make up that much time lost at the launch later on down the track. He needs to address going from 0 to getting that barge moving if he wants to see his e.t. go down to match that mph.

I'm not following what you are trying to say.
I ran my car in drag mode and it shifts above 7000 rpm (I wasn't watching my tach to closely).
What I was saying is the shifts are more aggressive in drag mode and were generating more wheel spun on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
I'm going to try sport mode next time out as the shifts are quicker and less aggressive.

Yes drag mode has the most aggressive shifts with the least amount of tq modulation on shifts.

Normal mode has the most tq modulation, and sport/track share the same amount of tq modulation but less than normal.

So your seat of the pants feel is correct. Drag is the mode to use IF you have traction lol. If you dont then just use sport to keep the car going, and not spin so hard on shifts.

Have you made any adjustments to your tire pressures?

Tell you what once I don’t need to have an s650 anymore for tune testing and development then I’m getting an M car next day.

ETs are all over the board for mustangs. Too many factors to compare and they are wildly inconsistent without a real DCT based launch control. My c8 will go 11.3 at any time, any day any weather. No more no less.

ET's are all over the board for all cars. You can't tell me your C8 is going to run an 11.3 at sea level and then run an 11.3 at a 4000 DA track. Not going to happen.
