I just ran my car at FireBird Raceway in Phoenix AZ, about 100 degrees when I made this run. It short shifts so bad from 2nd to 3rd, like at 5k! Is there any way to get around this beyond shifting manually? Left lane on this pass with just a K&N intake.

Gotta hold it down for a few seconds, but i still get short shifts once in awhile.

Also foot brake it as hard as you can if you get a tire on it, you’ll get 2300 rpm or more and it just seems way happier
Suspension pre loads nicely etc…

I’ve heard some people say that sport mode rather than drag mode is the way to go. I wonder if short shifts happen less in sport mode?

My question is,,,why isn't everyone with the auto not shifting it manually while racing? You reach your desired rpm every time that way.

Every time I’ve tried shifting myself I’ve gone slower.
Even with the A10 short shifting itself.

Maybe running rpms a bit too high? I have a GT I'm picking up on monday so I'm not very acquainted with all the bells and whistles yet, but isn't there a shift indicator you can set at desired rpm you want to hit? Thought maybe I read that. If so, you can do runs and play different rpms to see what works best. I'm not drag racing mine, so I went stick or it would be as boring as driving my Tremor around. Good luck with squeezing out better time slips. Cheers

FYI: The 10R80 transmission is highly tuneable. I use the interface and software from HPtuners to set the rpm of each gear shift.
