In the last three days, I've have several low battery alerts (warning?). The one this morning said (sic) low battery, exit warning isn't active... I've read on-line references to this very issue, but no TSB on Ford's site. Anyone else have this issue?

(These alerts are similar to the ones I got on my 2019 Ranger a couple of years ago just after the battery was replaced. In that case, it was a defective (but brand new) battery.)

So, I was getting many of these even while driving the car, however my 24 GT was produced in 1/23. I got it with 500 miles on it in 4/25 and since mine was a pre-production or practice production car, yesterday I had the battery replaced at a dealer.

I was getting them alot, and yesterday morning, I went to drive the car opened the door and I didnt even have interior lights, and I had the 2009 Ford Focus sounds etc.

It has been sitting locked as prescribed all night, but I wont be driving it today because of rain.

But I'll let you know if my situation is resolved. Also I assume the battery is from 2022 and that it may have been sitting around alot for 2 years not getting used much and the charge cycles were probably not great for it before I purchased it.

And since it's out of warranty with 4K miles on it I just replaced it with a factory one.

You have a pre-production car? That's quite interesting.

If it's not too much to ask, could you DM me the last 8 characters of your VIN?

One item I noticed (again! Dang it!) was the Hot Spot was turned on. Apparently any update resets the function. If the car sits a lot, this is a major cause of low battery conditions. Ford should know better, but we all know Big Brother is alive and well.

I've had my EB since Nov of last year. I've had a couple of OTA update and NOT one has caused any changes to my preset functions, ie hot spot, drive modes, forscan changes, etc .... If I didn't get the notices from Ford, I would never know they did anything to the car ......🤔 🤔

There seems to be a trend with battery problems with these newer cars and in general. My friend builds high end custom show cars & he has had to go through multiple batteries on some builds (defective) & has had to change them out sooner than expected on past builds. And, that’s mostly older muscle cars without computers. When I bought my new 2025 Explorer ST in December 2025 (last 2025 on the lot), they had to replace the battery.
It’s been well documented in this forum that these Mustangs are hard on batteries. The background current draw from the computers runs them down quickly. Short drives, days apart, aren’t adequate for recharging. Routine battery chargers are often needed to keep the battery healthy. Also, consider that from the time the car was built until it was sold, it sat for days & weeks without being charged. No telling how that shortened its battery life.
If you don’t drive it frequently for at least 20-30 min drives, get a charger & use it. Also, have your battery checked. It may be damaged.

Our 2024 GT 401-A the Battery warning message came on a few times.
I took it to my Ford Dealer.
They did the Battery Check & everything was ok.
The Service Manager said I didn’t drive it enough for the Battery to charge.
My Wife & I took a trip & I I never seen the Battery Warning again.
Just Drive it.
Have some fun
