What's your dealer saying for time frame to deliver ... ?Same. Got the call today. Assume it’ll be a 2026?
I change my mind a lot - can't pass up an MSRP allocationNice looking car. Going from not buying to all in, had to hurt your neck when you pulled that u-turn.
Congratulations on the order.
Make sure you ask your dealer for the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement). This is how Ford acknowledges the dealers order has be entered into the order bank.
Once the order is in the order bank it is assigned a build status.
First step
In Order Processing - Unscheduled -. Material Hold
Second step - this is were the fun begins
In Order Processing - Unscheduled - Clean
They have finally reviewed your order and have deemed it buildable and is awaiting scheduling.
Third step - Now you know that your car will be built.
In Order Processing - Scheduled to Week
This is when your VIN has been issued (call your dealer for the VIN) and your car has been scheduled to a week.
When it comes to MSRP, we think alike.I change my mind a lot - can't pass up an MSRP allocation
I ended up paying $5k over which is apparently the allocation cost. Everywhere else I called was $10k-$50k over. I hate paying over MSRP but I don’t think you get it any cheaper right now. Maybe in a few years. People are gunna hate you for paying over msrp but whatever it’s my money my car I’ll do what I want. The OP is asking what you paid for DH SC... Only one person willing to share... the one who paid MSRP... is everyone else too embarrassed to admit what they paid?
I did -I don’t think you get it any cheaper right now
Thank you for sharing. I think the 5k allocation cost is reasonable... but just lining the dealers' pockets... no. I am often one who pays far too much to get what I want at times... as long as there are tangible goods/services that are being paid for. I have had many custom parts machined and chrome plated for my old hot rod to get just what I wanted, or bought one thing and changed my mind and did it different with something else... but the ADM is not anything tangible, just the dealer bending you over. Now if he wants to offer a service agreement or accessories in the amount of the ADM, well that's still dirty pool, but at least I get something for it. I see the MSRP as the manufacturers' way of offering the same car to anyone anywhere in the country for the exact same price... the only difference being destination charge. I can't hate on anyone for paying the ADM to get what they want, I just wish the manufacturers would rein that in and make the cost for these special cars the same for everyone.I ended up paying $5k over which is apparently the allocation cost. Oh, ok thanks... I thought I saw a couple that were different... my mistake...@Sofa King
The destination charge is the same no matter if your car gets delivered to a dealer in Flat Rock, Mi or San Diego, Ca.
Anything over MSRP is a rip. But you can talk yourself into getting screwed guess that works for you, rest of us know better.Thank you for sharing.
