How much did you pay for a Dark Horse SC?

Curious if any one has placed an order for a dark horse SC and what the markups are looking like? Has anyone got one at MSRP?

Good luck at MSRP on a DHSC. My local dealer still thinks he can get over MSRP on the regular DH that has been out for 3 years now. He also still wants $30k over for a Raptor R. I just bought out of state for A LOT off MSRP on a regular DH.

Honestly, if they're quoting you +10k, they sound like they're hedging. I'd tell them +6k - their "fee" + not having to go through BS and I'd bet they take it.

ETA: That is, IF I'd be willing to abandon the work on my poverty 'just a whipple coyote' Dark Horse.

They are only making 1200 dhsc so dealers really have no reason to sell them at msrp unless its to an employee that they really like. Back when I got my Dh in jan 2025 dealers still wanted 10k over locally, I traveled a couple states over and got one for 4-5k off msrp.

Where did you see the 1200 DHSC production limit? I am betting it will be closer to 5,000 unless the they stay with the normal Model Year, which would make it a short run.

I don't get that number either. Reports are that more than that enrolled in the program and with each dealer getting at least 1 car guaranteed, the number will be greater than the amount of dealerships that enrolled.

Who told you this 1200 number. That seems wildly inaccurate unless you have a source to support such a claim. They made about 5,000 GT500’s every year it was produced 2020-2022. That seems like a much more realistic number.

The first dealer I approached a week ago told me that Ford was only going to make 1200 DHSC this MY. They used this number to try to justify the $25,000 ADM they were charging. They said the 1200 production number came from the Ford Representative.

I just hope that most of 2026 DHSC orders will be converted to 2027 DHSC orders. Especially if the order bank for the 2027 Mustangs open at the end of Jun 2026. I guess we will find if the MY26 closes on 5/30/2026.

Just ordered yesterday MSRP Argon Blue, Recaro's, Prime Blue seat belt, Trunk Led, Overland lighting and speaker group, Roof rear spoiler.... Trunk Led, Overland lighting/speaker, and Roof spoiler are not listed in the order because they have to be ordered outside the vehicle order and installed at the dealer. Total with those items is $112,387

I think you did great. @108k plus options, you got a fair price. The consumer is always at a slight disadvantage when you're not negotiating on a car that's sitting on the lot.

According to what I have read and others have stated - Participating dealers get ONE (1) allocation (see below)

Dealers that have enrolled in the program will receive at least one Dark Horse SC allocation. Remaining production will be allocated among enrolled dealers via a formula based on prior sales and market registrations. Dealers can transfer Dark Horse SCs to other enrolled dealers only; transferring to non-participating dealers will result in program suspension and/or reduction in future allocation.

Getting a car at MSRP has more to do with the size of city than the state. The smaller the city the the better chance of a deal.
Ford charging the dealer $5,000 for the honor of selling a DHSC is going to make it harder to get an MSRP deal, but not impossible.
