I knew id get someone to bite. 🤣

If they had offered a Tremec dual clutch auto like in the GT500 and now DH SC I would have bought that.

But seeing as that wasn't an option I went with the manual. Either choice gets you from zero to a big speeding ticket way faster than one needs. To each their own I say, go with what makes you happy and make sure you get out there and drive!

Had a 10a before in my S550 PP1
Drag mode what I loved the most about that transmission...

The 10a was a game changer for the Mustang...

I still like my manual also but for drag racing you would be foolish not to choose the 10a

Edit should add
The fact an S550 with a 10a can run just about identical numbers as my car with almost 70 more hp is all you should need to know ..

I never used drag mode and I'm afraid to use it. I'm still overwhelmed by the power just in Normal mode. I don't want to end up like many other Mustang drivers on social media lol.

I personally like the acceleration that you get. But on a manual transmission, if you release your foot off the gas pedal abruptly, it jerks you back, unlike the regular drive mode. Plus in TX where I now live the roads are super slick, and unless it's early in the morning or during cold temps, I don't drive my car aggressively, or else it'll spin out.

24 GT Premium Convertible, PP. Drag mode, HOLD ON, 1-2 shift rear end going sideways, 2-3 shift laying rubber, 3-4 shift around 50 still chirping the tires. It's a wild ride. In Las Vegas, on asphalt, stock tires. I Love It.
