which stock wheels do you have? maybe you made the wrong choice on a 50K+ purchase. Several choices were available. None to your taste? A stock set and a drag pack ought to satisfy 90+% of drivers.

the only wheel that i have seen that looks perfect with the s650 is the vossen hfx-1 with this beautiful rtr mustang
What are the sizes and offsets of those Vossen wheels? If you think they fit perfectly you'd want whatever wheels you choose to match closely. Some thoughts:

I have had my eye on these brushed silver Blaque Diamond Wheels. Not cheap but probably not as pricey as the Vossens. https://share.google/cFYUNCreyWgXhzWZV

American Racing makes a wheel called the Stampede that's a replica of the performance package wheels but with better fitment. ALSO, they make it in silver.

the only good stock wheel on the s650 is the perfomance pack wheels, but the option it came with was the ā€œ19ā€ X 8.5ā€ Premier Polished Aluminum Wheelā€ one. I don’t mind the wheels and it’s not ugly obviously, but not everyone wants to keep their car completely stock. It was $40k at 3k miles, with it being the only reasonably valued manual mustang within 500 miles of me as the rest were $50-60k, used or not. if I ever wanted to spend $10k on a whipple sure id do the drag pack but it’s nothing more than larping if I did that

on vossen’s website the car is listed as having 20x9.5 on the front and 20x10.5 on the rears, doesn’t say if it has any spacers or anything about its suspension. the diamond wheels im pretty sure are actually the same exact price as the vossen hf-5, which is that same design. the stampede is an amazing option though, just have to look into the guide to see what I want.

Those Vossen wheels are undoubtedly designed with offsets that allow them to fit well without spacers. I would guess they're close to the offsets of the RTR wheels in the same sizes, which are +33 for the front and +45 for the rear.

The Blaque Diamond wheels are not quite the same style. The Vossens remind me more of the Rohana RFX19. In any case since I already have the performance pack wheels and like the look, I'm considering the Stampedes with some hesitation knowing they're no fun to clean.

yeah i also looked into the rohana rfx19 before and the only reason why i didn't settle on it was because it arguably only looked good in black, but i guess i'm a sucker for these kinds of looks on wheels! i'd say that the hf-5 looks are pretty much an identical match in price and looks. obviously there is the slightest difference ever, but that goes for almost every wheel that has the same design but different brand.

for someone like me, i already clean my car a lot as is since my car is kept outside and the red shows even the tiniest spec of dirt, as if it shows the worst of what black paint does and what white paint does, so i wouldn't mind getting silver wheels like the stampedes and taking extra care since they are silver.

Agree. When you mentioned the hf-5 before, I mistakenly assumed they were the same Vossen wheels you originally posted. That's why I compared them to the Rohana RFX19.

If you like the style of the performance pack wheels but not the color you could always get a set of them and have them powder coated in the color that pleases you. Just a suggestion.

this is a pretty hot take i will admit, but for the months i've been shopping for wheels, i cannot for the life of me find a wheel that fits my s650 mustang perfectly. my mustang is in rapid red, which for me has been a pretty awkward color to choose a wheel color, and kinds of wheels in general for.

i have a certain taste in wheels, as in i really love that shiny silver color, and probably the only other color i'd do on the s650 is black wheels, but i do not think that black looks good on rapid red, and for that matter i don't think black wheels are all that great in general, and i also can't find a rapid red s650 with silver wheels as a reference picture for what i want. the only wheel that i have seen that looks perfect with the s650 is the vossen hfx-1 with this beautiful rtr mustang, but that wheel is too extravagant and expensive, and you really need to go all out to get that perfect fitment. along with that, the wheels are quite expensive and in my opinion spending $2k+ for wheels is kind of absurd.

there's also an example of someone with these wheels on youtube iirc, i think that bought these in 18 or 19 inch wheels that looked pretty dumb on the car, and is something i want to avoid. i think the hf-5 from vossen is also amazing as well, but again, the price is out of the question. i've tried looking on social media for inspiration with silver wheels and they're all crazy builds that are slammed and have bags (which imo, is quite stupid to do on a car like this) with insane 3 piece wheels and are completely off with what i want. i'm also not the kind of person to buy a different oem wheel, like the pp wheels, although they do look great.

to shorten the rant, it's best to ask you people what kind of wheels look the best on the s650 in general? what wheel color looks best in rapid red? i've been stuck on this for months now and all my research and inspiration has led me nowhere, even looking to places like fitment industries that show a bunch of cheap wheels wouldn't look good on the s650 i don't think.

to add one last note, what would be the right steps to make aftermarket wheels look good? should i get something that's the same size as my stock wheels and lower it 1-2"? what spacers would give it the perfect fitment with the fender? i don't want to go crazy like that rtr mustang, which from what i've seen on this thread you would need bags or camber bolts/plates or you'd ruin your car in weeks, but at the same time i also want a clean look with minimal space between the top of the tire and the fender or else it kind of looks weird and not much better than stock.
Im in the same boat sorta. Don't want chrome, mine came with silver, not a fan even tho i think they look great. Imma go silver or bronze

Anways, hear me out.

SVE X500 wheels. They come in silver and would look badass on rapid red. (my 2011 GT was rapid red, now have the rapid red tinted metallic, (darker red)

Get an AI to throw them on for ya.

They are a decent price.

Now my 2nd choice, if i was willing to pay 2k for rims.

I saw these on a red mustang the other day, and holy moly i fell in love with them instantly. They look so business professional. So freakin' sexy. I know, bronze, but it's like the PERFECT shade for red, would work on blue and black as well.

had AI throw them on mine for an idea, of course Im gonna go
285 square or 285/305 staggered. so will look quite a bit more aggressive.

Anyway these SVE's in person are amazing, pictures don't do it justice.

Anyway, hope that inspires ya. Im in the same boat, being super picky

x500 isn't actually that bad, i think its just the fact that the picture they have it in 19s i think that is in the picture it probably makes it look worse than it actually does. the rtrs aren't too bad either, but i think with a wheel design like that you're just paying for a brand at that point, which yes rtr is THE aftermarket brand for ford but maybe could find them for cheaper.

someone's already mentioned that earlier, apparently american racing makes one called the "stampede" that i could get in 20s and in the desired color, but they're also $1000 more than just buying used ones on ebay or just buying reps from a reputable brand like lmr and such. can't find new ones on ford's website unless i have to go to a local dealer or something

I went with the Stance SF10 20x10F and 20x11R in Gunmetal Grey, but they do come in other colors, currently running 275/35 and 305/35. Now I just need to talk myself into dropping it a bit.

you really only need lowering springs to make the fitment perfect, and for the mustang being a car that makes you feel low to the ground it's still pretty tall in terms of ground clearance. there's multiple threads of people buying standard progressive lowering springs from steeda or eibach sport lower springs and it being perfect with zero problems on the road.

other than that those wheels look great šŸ˜ sucks that the stock monster truck fitment kind of ruins it though
