Corsa Air Intake Kit Installed - It Exists!

Hi all,
After seeing the pictures of the Corsa intake kit for the S650 last year, I was pretty intrigued. Once they started going on-sale toward the holiday season, I took a chance and purchased while on backorder through JEGS. This week, it showed up.

Overall, the install was easy/straightforward and fit/finish is great.

I’ll report back after I drive with it, but for now here are a few photos.

They didn't do much to back up their 17 horsepower increase on the website. I would guess that it's less than 5 horsepower, but it could also be worse than stock. Ford put a lot of engineering into this engine that Corsa can only dream about. I know who I trust more.

Thanks - yeah +/- a few horsepower won’t make a difference. I really just wanted the look that this one provides. I’ll see if the “SOTP” experience (feel/sound) makes any difference when I take it out.

Its honestly about the same hp you get with carbon filter delete and an air filter swap.

Wish they sold just the tubes for our OEM air boxes though.

They supposedly do. Don't believe their "in stock" claim though. When I tried to order this, they told me ships directly from Corsa in 4-6 weeks, so I cancelled the order.

Looks really good...id just like one i can pop a couple wet nozzles in ( 50hp each ) with enough material to tap.....

No one is going to make tubes thick enough to tap. At best they might add welded bungs but you could literally use inserts on any material yourself.

Your probably right at worst my best friend can tig onto even the cheapo thinwall aluminum charge pipe so just any section thats aluminum be fine, I simply want to play with it dirt cheap low power or id just buy the twin throttle plates ( im an old man and my rule of thumb for nearly 40 years is; 75-175 N20 makes a lot of sense and can be run fairly safely especially with today's progressive systems, if I want to add 200 or more just put boost of choice on it and be done )....
Your right though hell ill epoxy the shit in a spot on the stock tubes ( those round hole cavities) if I want to play with a 50x2 setup...

Im really at a cross roads im tempted to ported cobra jet/catless headers it, add stall next year and call it for a good while if I could get it to run 7.0 1/8th on a drag pack no need to go faster where I live....im at an age id like to drive in run 7.0 index and while i cool down between runs the bad boys run...it scratches all the itches.....

At same time I just got a parts list for the S650 P1x kit from a trusted source very little is different meaning, might just adapt an S550 kit over cheap as I can buy CJ, Porting, headers and installs....in mean time im having a surprising amount of fun tune and drop ins only.....

Thanks for all the comments everyone. As I said above, I wasn’t really going for more performance with this - just wanted something a little more flashy with the dual TB’s. I definitely feel like it wins there.

Corsa offers these with oiled or dry filters, and I went with the dry setup. It’s not worth messing with the oiled filters imo.

Also, it appears these are available to order direct from Corsa now, which wasn’t the case when I ordered it last year. I’m guessing these are going to be more widely available soon if they aren’t already. When I ordered through JEGS, the “ship date” kept moving - I figured I would give it a few months, so it worked out.

I'm planning some seat time later in the week - looking forward to taking it out!

Looks very nice...Corsa stuff is high priced but usually very good...They also back their products.
