PS. On this trip I got tagged by radar at 100kmh in a 65kmh posted corner. Not illegal, but I would love to know what the cop thought.

Cool! I averaged just over 27 MPG when I was driving a lot of highway & freeway miles on curise control between 60-77 MPH.

Haven't seen that MPG since!

Our highways are nothing like your highways, probably more like your country back roads. Not the best for fuel economy.
I am a bit ashamed to be honest.

in the automatic cars, that .62 top gear combined with the 3.15 rear end can be very economical if you drive at a steady speed

I have gotten 29 MPG out of my car on long trips

Yeah man. Especially hwy with cruise the mpg is incredible. So much so that the cpu gets confused on miles remaining

We averaged 10.5 over the whole 1100kms, the last part had less overtaking involved.
Bloody good for a V8.

I was running 98, but I haven't noticed a difference on 95. That's RON ratings

I recently got 21 on a round trip from OC up to LA on a Sunday with the freeway mostly clear. Usually it's 17-18. Going to head out to the desert this weekend, see how it does with that. Currently have 2500 miles.

I remember watching a car review where they claimed they got 30 mpg on one of their test loops. I thought that was completely bogus until I picked mine up. People will call this car a gas guzzler and it gets better mpg than most hybrid SUV's.
