I'm surprised at the dealer comments. Ours are franchised too, and customer service can be hit and miss with some. But I've not had problems with the standard of work.
Is it normal for yours to wash the car after a service?

Dealers are like a box of chocolates here. You never know what you're gonna get. (Bonus points if you read that in a Forrest Gump voice)

Most of them do wash the car when they are done. But usually its through some automated POS that does a shit job and scratches your paint. I always tell then not to wash it. Half the time they do it anyway because the service monkeys cant read.

The dealers I've used have new car groomers doing handwashing. If they used a carwash I wouldn't go back.

Just drove mine to lunch, no noise but for the faint whine which is just part of it.

I can't say I've had any issues with the A10 in mine, other than the occasional super aggressive downshift when in sport mode. My first experience with the A10 was in my F-150 and man that thing made all kinds of disheartening noises. It finally mellowed out around 30,000 miles, so I don't know, maybe you just need to put the pedal down and put some miles on that thang.

@LouG .... those straight cut gears are on the oil pump, I believe, but still the same whine and yes, if I'm near a wall it does sound like a supercharger!

like a whipple whine? or a procharger whine? because i’d almost say mine sounds like a procharger, but it also could sound more like a rythmic metallic whirr too depending on volume of it.

@Stitch650, fingers crossed for you but I think if it was damaging metallic sound you would have had a failure by now and you also have a lengthy warranty ahead of you. An audio/video is a great idea and having it recorded "officially" via a dealership WO should protect you completely. I have heard of minor issues with the 10R80s but never a catastrophic failure under "normal" circumstances. Again, fingers crossed!

Yeah, I definitely want to get a good video for proof of mileage when i got a video to hear it, and at my next oil change i’ll mention it to them. I honestly feel the same, especially with the way i’ve driven it, it’s definitely gotten its break in pulls, it probably would’ve popped some light, left fluid on the ground, or something if it were going to fail. I also think I would feel it, i’ve had much less severe things happen on cars and feel them immediately. Car drives phenomenal.

I agree man, the way it drives, and sounds otherwise I don’t think it’s an issue to worry about. especially being i’ve heard it since day 1, and it hasn’t changed or came with anything odd feeling.

So this is the noise, at least the best video i’ve gotten of it. if you turn the sound on at 5 seconds starting there it’s a “fewfewfew” noise. Again I apologize but i did have a buddy with a 19 5.0 10r80 ride with me and he definitely heard it and said he’s never heard it before, and his does not do it. So who knows🤷🏽‍♂️

......sounds a lot like my buddy's 2024 GT and my 2024 GT. I don't hear anything alarming but I'd still have a service diagnostic with its numbered invoice for my peace of mind.
