Pony Puddle Lights always on with Auto-Fold mirrors

This guide is for vehicles with auto-fold mirrors. My car is MY24.5. On my car, the pony lights turn off as soon as I unlock the car and the mirrors unfold. However, I’ve noticed that friends with MY25 models do not have this issue—their pony lights stay on even after the mirrors unfold.

Below are the Forscan changes required. File A shows my original settings, and File B shows the updated values you need to apply.

Expected behaviour

1. When approaching the car: mirrors folded, welcome lights on, pony lights on.
2. Unlock the car and open the door: mirrors unfold, pony lights turn off briefly, then come back on after a few seconds.
3. Driver-side pony light turns off when the door is closed and turns on when the door is open.
4. Passenger-side pony light stays on regardless of door status.
5. With the engine running: both pony lights turn on when that side of door is open and turn off when door is closed.
6. With the engine off, lock the car: all lights turn off.

Was this option of the auto fold mirrors new to 2024.5? I have a 2024 401A premium with all the options but my mirrors don’t fold . I do have the pony lights.

Me too. I don’t think I’ve seen a newer Mustang with folded mirrors when parked.

Folding mirrors not available in the US... only in foreign markets... OP in Australia.

With folded mirrors you have rotated (lens) puddle lights: they get aligned along the door with the mirrors folded. Out of my curiosity, how to the pony appears when projected with unfolded mirrors? Is it distant/rotated/distorted on the ground? Do you have any picture?

They just looks a little bit bigger

Will the lights also go on?
That's what I wish happened, same as on Gen6.

Thanks mate. I only changed the 2 codes (740-02-10 and 741) and that seems to have fixed it. Leaving the mirrors on no fold and it works like it should. Can finally use my dark horse puddle lights.

So changing them will make em turning OFF when the auto-fold is ON? Your approach lights doesn't work anymore, or they will be projected against your door (like before)?
Can we have a resume of the codes that has to be changed (VS the first post in this thread) please?

No when autofold is on the lights still work the same, I think they turn off momentarily whilst the mirror unfolds. I changed my lamps to the dark horse version which project against the door when the mirrors are folded.

Gotcha.. I've asked, coz it doesn't explain why the OP @allenouo have changed more values, when just those two were needed, maybe he just compared the values VS MY25 and changed em all, but those additional three weren't needed for this specific behavior after all.
