The new ones are surprisingly good looking and surprisingly quick

I'm not a Prius fan, but I agree with you. They're pretty nice looking.

Quit High School in '64 and enlisted, had to wait for 17th birthday, then on to MCRD San Diego. In country '66 and '67 with Delta 2/11. Was an artillery FO attached to 5th Marines. "Semper Fi Marine"

I've only had maybe 5-6 brands of cars, but a crap load of cars because most of our cars are leased. Only a handful have been totally free of issues. There is some apprehension when you have to give up a solid car at the end of a lease, and you don't know what you might be getting into with a new car. The saving grace is that it is under warranty for the entire lease! Glenn

I am in a similar position and cars of the 80's and 90's were terrible for reliability and faults. Since the early 2000's that has all changed with very few problems (and none at all on some cars) A few software updates don't compare to things falling off or going wrong.

I don't think the new Prius is quick, but it does accelerate smoothly as long as you don't just floor it.

(GR Prius when? 🤔)

I'm a week late to this, but heres a shining example of when you buy a car for all the wrong reasons.

You buy a mustang for the engine and experience.
Exactly why I drive mine all year, assuming the roads are dry. And wouldn't you know it? God and I were on the wrong page today. She got wet, but luckily I was already on my way home! Glenn

If you don't drive your Mustang in the rain in the UK you will never drive it!

My S550 was a daily for 6 years, rain, snow, salt, sun, dust - and it still looked good and drove just fine after all of it. It's a car - drive it!
