I was looking into the devaluation per model in my area and decided to share here. It seems the model that best holds value is the dark horse. If you calculate the cost simple based on amount paid minus trade in value when sold, the dark horse is the most affordable.

GT Base:
2026: 55,316
2025: 52,047
2024: 47,803
Devaluation in 2 years: CAD 7,513, or 16%

GT Premium:
2026: 70,698
2025: 63,966
2024: 56,107
Devaluation in 2 years: CAD 14,591, or 26%

Dark Horse:
2026: 83,165
2025: 78,151
2024: 75,098
Devaluation in 2 years: 8,067, or 11%

Carfax doesn't care if your Dark Horse is base or premium, and I bet the dealership you trade in also doesn't.

Looks like the best deal is a base Dark Horse. I am thinking to add the Recaros to it and skip the handling package. The HP wheels are quite heavy. I can use the HP cost to mod it and get better results.

Let me know your thoughts or if I am off here.

i skipped the handling package due to the trofeo tires. if they would've traded for pilot ps4, would've been a done deal. but i bought it to drive AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE so i figured i'd go bigger when the factory tires were done. non hp car still extremely satisfied for now. just do it.

key feature of the CURRENT premium is only memory ventilated seat. so if you're upgrading to recaro anyway, no sense in burning your money. the dark horse puddle lamps are a kinda cool but you could probably swap those in later

Thanks for the reply.
The only thing I find useful from the handling pack is the adjustable strut mounts, but I can go aftermarket too.

And I am also probably going to go wider than HP tires too.

Do you know what exactly are the chassis tuning they refer in the HP? Different sway bars? Stiffer bushings?

I search for it but I cannot find the exact technical details of the HP.

never seen it broken down by exact parts. i'm probably missing some but i'd figure
front splitter
rear spoiler
hp wheel and tire
camber plates
maybe upgrade sway bars
hp/lower springs
magneride tuning to optimize package

"MagneRide adaptive dampers with bespoke Dark Horse tuning are standard, as are bigger 33.3-mm front and 24-mm rear sway bars, though the Handling Package gets a solid rear bar for added rigidity. The spring rate is increased as well: the front spring rate is now 34 N/mm up front and 115 in the rear. The Handling Package ups the ante to 37 and 130, respectively, while also adding a redesigned rear spoiler and a bigger front lip for more downforce."

I thought the springs would be the same.
Do you know if Ford performance offers springs for the magnaride?
